I do the main food shopping once a week but I pop into Tesco on my home from work most days to see if they have any decent yellow-sticker stuff, and top up milk where necessary."Save £12k in 2019" #120 - £100,699.57/£100,0000

I live in a city centre, so I know I can always get pretty much anything I need easily within a few minutes, but I hardly go on a 'shopping trip' where that's the whole point of being out and about.
I do visit the local butcher every fortnight for proper meat!!0 -
Virtually never. I buy literally everything online. I probably set foot in any type of shop maximum twice a month and often less.0

I live 10mins from the Metro Centre. Its my second home. I meet friends for coffee there, go to the cocktail bar there, wander shops for hours without buying, go to the cinema there.
If I need to chill, relax etc you know I'll be wandering the malls.Forty and fabulous, well that's what my cards say....0 -

I plan and shop much more long term, it works out much better financially, on waste and for variety for us. People work differently!
I go as rarely as I can to the shops. Over winter we could easily last four to six weeks without a grocery shop:o but I tend to need petrol fortnightly unless being extremely careful. ( we don't go that long because I pop into the green grocers usually for fresh veg to perk up frozen or preserved stuff, and same with fruit....but I do that on runs to the station for DH, or ask him or resident parent to bring stuff back with them so I don't have to shop... But if we cannot get out, we don't have to)
I try and combine my trips out so I'll go to the shops on day I am already out for something else.
Last week I went 'to the shops' ( to tk Maxx) on a whim ( i decided i needed a broom) and just for that. Its so rare that happens that it my husband and parents asked with genuine concern if I was feeling ok. :rotfl:
I like window shopping on the Internet more that on the high street. For stuff to do there is plenty besides shopping. In fact whilst I like 'stuff' high streets kinda bore me these days. Same old shops, same old stuff. If we had more independents stocking more unique stuff maybe I'd be in deed of more not shopping motivators.0 -
Every day if I can.
I love being in shops.
O/H once said to me that I treated shopping like a hobby.
What woman doesn't?0 -

I cannot shop daily, I have tried but inevitably because I have to go to morrisons, I will buy maybe another £5-10 worth of stuff I didn't need.
If we had a proper high street with shops dedicated to only what I needed from there as there used to be I probably could.I don't get nearly enough credit for not being a violent psychopath.0 -

I have hobbies.....
I used to quite like shopping, and I like stuff.....so once, twice a year, going 'shopping' (mid week in term time...please!) is 'fun' but as a regular hobby? No way!
Shopping buys the stuff you need or wear in order to do or look good doing the real hobbies or activities IMO.
If someone could do it for me and be trusted to get stuff I'd choose if I went, I'd gladly hand over the responsibility!0 -
Sainsburys is supposed to be a once week thing but in reality we seem to go 2-3 times a week and sometimes more frequently.
Petrol - £40 once a fortnight just prior to supermarket shop.
Clothes shopping - I used to adore clothes shopping but when OH and I got into debt because of wreckless spending I cut right back. Now I'm just not that fussed for it. I will buy clothes but more so online as there are usually bargains to be had. I'm a huge fan of ASOS which always has a good sales section as well. OH seems to only buy clothes if he really has to so we have both ended up with the same mentality and I rather like being this way as opposed to how we used to be. I'd say we might hit the high street once every six months!0
