Actually have had quite an exciting morningWent to an appointment with OH. He's finally agreed to join a project locally for injured serving/ex serving personnel. It's a fab project, they have a community garden and lots of stuff going on with that.
He's agreed to attend for 6 weeks initially to help with a project they're starting soon. Making planters for local war memorials.....he's quite handy so it's right up his street. And finally he will be having some contact with the outside world again!!
BIG step and Im Sooo pleased
That's great news fairclaire this will be such a big step not just for your dh but for you & the kids. Really hoping this is the start of better things to come x0 -
3 wheelie bins here, one for recycling (paper, cardboard, plastic, cans, glass), one for composting materials (including dirty cardboards like pizza boxes) and one for everything else (normal household refuse). Normal bin one week and the other two the next week. No charge for the compost bin here but I know that family in Tyneside do have to pay for their's to be collected and it is only collected in spring/summer
That's what we are going onto from this week. already had the 3 bins, but used to get normal waste emptied every week and others every 2 weeks, but now on some strange two week cycle for everything. They will take extra bins on the right day, but nothing else.
Rang them about my  missing bin, there's now a charge of £23, even if someone's stolen it. Still will be cheaper in long run than going to the tip if required.0 -
Remember 2.30 pm this afternoon the free ideal home show tickets will be going live.
Not as good as the main show in the Summer IMHO, but could be of interest.

I have just looked at the receipts from the APGs I used earlier. I didn't exactly get trouted but the SA had a bit of a trout pout when I called her to put them through as I used 2 £9 odd and a £6 odd one. She spent ages scrutinizing them!
Anyway, on each receipt she has scribbled '10%' and 'used' and her initials. Wonder what 10% means??0 -

At a guess I would think it's just to show APG been done rather than say a return or overcharge. :cool:0 -

Or is it 30 or 33% of your shop total before requiring approval? Would mean I can dodge them by adding some necessary shopping...
Think it was suggested that at most SS it'll allow up to 2 coupons with a value of less than 33% of total shop before calling for assistance (unless they need a manual coupon value entering). Some stores have their own individual policy though.
Why not just use a manned till? If they scan and you're buying the product there's no problem. Then it's the SA's discretion if they eg accept more than 1 coupon per transaction rather than you trying to hide the fact by using SS. You just need to pick your SA wisely♥ Worrying does not empty tomorrow of it's troubles.... it empties today of it's strength ♥0 -

We have had wheelie bins for a while now. One for non-recyclable rubbish, one for paper and cardboard, one for garden and food waste and a box for cans and bottles etc.
I compost all of my garden waste and I have virtually no food waste at all. I do like the wheelie bins much better than when we had bags but it must be a real pain if you have limited space.....Ours is emptied every two weeks too, hate it because in the hot summer months it tends to produce maggots as its not emptied regularly enough, we pressure wash ours out every time its emptied in the summer months due to this, think its disgusting!.... spain have their rubbish emptied every night early hours of the morning EVERY DAY!

Do you mean on the self service tills? I think it depends on how they are set locally as my 2 locals are different, or were ages ago, don't really use coupons on SS tills any more.0
