    You have to pay:eek: that's shocking! :( We have had wheelie bins for a while now. One for non-recyclable rubbish, one for paper and cardboard, one for garden and food waste and a box for cans and bottles etc.
    I compost all of my garden waste and I have virtually no food waste at all. I do like the wheelie bins much better than when we had bags but it must be a real pain if you have limited space.

    It was £10 for the bin which to begin with was collected for free. Then last year they sent a letter out that said it would no longer be emptied unless you paid £25 a year :cool: Suppose it's more convenient and saves petrol on going to the tip

    Not today :p I went yesterday :rotfl::rotfl:

    Actually have had quite an exciting morning :D Went to an appointment with OH. He's finally agreed to join a project locally for injured serving/ex serving personnel. It's a fab project, they have a community garden and lots of stuff going on with that.
    He's agreed to attend for 6 weeks initially to help with a project they're starting soon. Making planters for local war memorials.....he's quite handy so it's right up his street. And finally he will be having some contact with the outside world again!!

    BIG step and Im Sooo pleased :)

    3 wheelie bins here, one for recycling (paper, cardboard, plastic, cans, glass), one for composting materials (including dirty cardboards like pizza boxes) and one for everything else (normal household refuse). Normal bin one week and the other two the next week. No charge for the compost bin here but I know that family in Tyneside do have to pay for their's to be collected and it is only collected in spring/summer

    Had a couple of interesting emails this morning.

    One from Ts Home Panels inviting me to trial Non Bio washing detergent :)

    The other one was telling me there was free delivery at The Book People until Friday.
    Seem to be some good deals there for stocking fillers.
    We got this book last year and I loved it;
