Remember 2.30 pm this afternoon the free ideal home show tickets will be going live.

Not as good as the main show in the Summer IMHO, but could be of interest.

Just thinking the same Silvercar, but i'd better not say it or the 11+ will gang up on me again :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Back to square one, no apg, no comment.
  • we have a wheelie bin for house waste and can also put out extra if want , i only ever have 2 black bags in it as i recycle so much last week i had 9 paper recycling and 12 plastic and two can boxes (i hate the smell of a bin so very little goes in there i even recycle the food we have a separte collection but only one bag a week i use as i hate food waste and genraly make o/h and kids eat whats on there plate or no desert:o:rotfl:

i dont understand why people would fill lots of black bags leaving them stink the place up for 2 weeks:eek:(that how often collection is for black bags around here and on bin day take risk of them splitting on you:eek: if you dont have wheelie bin also all the bags i see split over the road is awfull your council tax pays to clean that what a waste i think :D

also recycling is great to teach kids :o even my kids 3 and 5 are well trained in it my dd brings her pack lunch packgen home to recycle as school just bins it in genral waste bin :o:o

im not the recycling police or saying what people should or shouldnt do just saying how much better i find it to recycle than have lots of stinky bin bags :T:T:o:o

I think you have it wrong. We're NOT allowed to put food waste in black bags OR grey bags as we have now. We have a tiny waste bucket/bin for food waste. That stays outside. TBH that's all we need BUT they do have to be filled with biodegradeable green bags - the ones the council supply are totally rubbish as they split up 1 or 2 sides when you open them.

All that goes in the black/grey bags is plastic mainly, household rubbish. TBH 1 grey/black bag per 2 weeks is plenty for us as there is no food in it. We have a red bag for paper/tetra packs etc. A purple bag for tins/bottles and plastic milk containers. Then you have to pay for a garden waste bag.

My problem is that we don't have enough room for the bags - the size of 'normal' refuse bags. IF the council provided bins then it would be a LOT better. You can't leave part filled bags outside to blow around, contents to be scattered everywhere.

The bin bags don't smell as there is no food waste in them.
The black/grey bags don't smell for the same reason.

I don't mind recycling BUT how many people have room in their kitchen for 3 recycling bin bags + a small food waste container?
  • Morning
I popped into mr t this morning to get my magnum chocolates.also picked up 3 of the quality street deserts which I had 2 x 50 p coupons off. 6 x chocolates and 3 packs of deserts came to 38p.
The cashier said I could only use 1 coupon for quality street but it says per purchase and not per transaction.
Also got an 89p bag of humbugs in that shop.
