Hey everyone
Just popping in quickly to say hi. First car boot of the weekend doneWe've done ok, not brilliantly, but a couple of bulky items have gone so that's good. Totals not totted up yet.
Little jwil was helping nicely again too
I sold three of my nappies last night :T So very pleased about that. I've relisted the two duplicates so fingers crossed they sell soon too. I'll nearly have made my money back if they do, and that's with me keeping 4 of them :T
Right, better get on. Little jwil wants his dinner"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
Keep going jwil, you're doing really well. Car booting with a small child is a miracle in itself and a goal of 300 to list...yes like P&F swooning with a mixture of jealousy and admiration! That's a perfect line

Well done on the nappy sales, I am so amazed by what some people will pay for some of them - one of the limited edition royal baby George tots bots just went for something like £120 on the Bay of E!!:eek: Mine have already been so well used they'll be fit for nothing by the time I'm finished with them
All is going well here, good nights and bad nights but - and I feel like I have to whisper this in case it makes it all go wrong.......baby Star seems to like sleeping at night :j after all the fun we've had with toddler Star and his night wakings this is completely new to us!!! I expect it all to change at any time but until then I'm just enjoying it

Hi jwil how did the 2nd carboot go? and the listings?
I thought i had replied but can't see my post so no idea what happened there.
I am now not sure if i'll list 100 items this month - i am aiming to do a carboot at the next bank hol weekend - weather permitting - and i am taking all low value unsold bay of e stuff - now if nothing sells i'll not finish getting all of my new listings on before then - + i need another flw before then... will still look to hit total of 100 cleared items - the house will be better for it x

Great news about baby star :T Hope it continues.
It's crazy the market for 2nd hand nappies. Most of mine won't be any good either. These ones were duplicates and so new, but I have sold ones I've only used once or twice and didn't get on with.DedicatedDFW wrote: »Hi jwil how did the 2nd carboot go? and the listings?I thought i had replied but can't see my post so no idea what happened there.

Hey DDFW, the second car boot went well. Quite a lot of stuff shifted (53 books! :j) but low value. I enjoy doing it though, as it appears does little jwil
Good luck with the listings/car boot!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
Hey everyone
Hope you all had a nice weekend.
I'm a bit fed up at the moment, I seem to have lost all my focus again. I'm spending money I don't have, and unnecessarily as well. Did we need takeaway last night? No. Can I afford it? No, so why did I do it?
I seem to be doing all this work and not achieving anything so I'm really fed up. It's down to little things like that which all soon add up.
Things have gone a bit pear shaped financially this month - I've cocked up one payment which is having a snowball effect, and I think I've had a 'I've had a binge, so sod the diet' moment financially if that makes any sense.
I need to focus and get back on with it. I also need to try and raise some serious cash this month as well - I've realised my car tax is due at the end of the month too.
I did sort out a load more stuff at the weekend - I need to give it a good clean as it's grubby from being in the garage, so I need to get on with that.
So tomorrow I'm going to really try and blast into some listings and try and make some real progress.
I'm really tempted to try and book a day or two off work when little jwil is in nursery and DH is at work to try and have some time to myself to focus on everything. I'm wary about using all my leave up though, and it's hard getting the extra time in to get flexi as well, but I shall have a think about it.
Little jwil has slept badly again the last few nights - those two good ones were heavenly! Hopefully he'll get better again.
Finally, I found out at the weekend that one of my oldest friends has terminal cancerThat's kind of thrown me too.

Blimey jwil. Where to start..that's a load of carp you're facing and a lack of sleep to boot
I am not sure what to suggest but I think a day or two to get your head straight, restart the money diet as it were, ( before it goes completely to pot), and get some sleep whilst LO is at nursery is what I would do. Don't take all your leave but a day or two to plan and focus.
Take care honey xMFiT-T4 Member No. 96 - 2022 is my MF goal

Hi jwil, sending you a huge hug.
I'm not surprised you have lost focus with everything that is going on I'm so sorry to hear about your friend, give yourself a few days to get back on track and take it easy and then start a fresh, we all have blips with this dam debt busting and that's what it is a little blip you will get back into it.
Well done with P cone.
Take care honey, pwps.x.0 -
Thanks Brizzle and Penny, it helps to vent.
Little jwil slept better last night, so I'm feeling better on that front today. A payment I thought would bounce hasn't done, so that's also a huge relief. It does mean I'm overdrawn, but that is a lesser evil than the payment bouncing. I can work on paying that back now.
So all in all, I'm feeling a little better this morning.
I'm here and organised and ready to list. Let's see how far I can get today.
I will seriously consider the time off. I don't get any time on my own really, so think it will be valuable.
Have a good one everyone."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0
