I cant believe how expensive childcare fees are!
Good luck with the ebaying - you are such a trooper at it. I see I can list 20 things for free now - does that mean at any time or still only when they say free listing? I have found a few more things to put on.
To be honest I cannot do more than 5 its just so draining lol so you are an inspiration to see how many you get done. And then its the packing and posting!
Hope you have a good weekend. Any car boots this weekend for you?
Thanks LAM
Childcare is a killer - that's only for 3.5 days a week too
The 20 free listings are for any time in the month. They say they will still be doing free listing weekends anyway so there will be more as well hopefully!
I do find it hard work, and I hate the packing, but it's all worth it in the end.
We're thinking about selling at a car boot tomorrow afternoon. We'll go and have a look on Sunday too, but no plans to sell then.
Do you have anything nice planned?"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
I managed to get my 20 listings used on one account yesterday, four of them already have bids too :T
I did have a couple of sales too. I converted a load of stuff from auction to BIN at the weekend, and that seems to have given a boost. I think I'm going to do that with a lot more of my stuff now with the new fees. Give it a couple of goes on auction and then put it on a BIN. Then if there's still no interest after a couple of months, I can decide what to do with the item.
I had a very bad night last night, little jwil had an extra nap in the afternoon, so I paid for that last night. Then after eventually getting him to sleep I was up most of the night coughing.
Here's hoping for a better night tonight, and little jwil will not be getting an extra nap in the future!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
Hey everyone.
Hope everyone is enjoying the lovely weather.
We did a boot sale yesterday, not great but a few more bits gone
Today we just had a look, but I may have bought a few bits
Including a huge bag of books for £3  I'm meant to be decluttering. Oh well. They are only short books, so I should be able to read through them fairly quickly and then they will be sold again. There are some in there that I am not bothered about and a few I've already got, so they will go straight back out again.
I'm listing like mad again today to try and recoup cash and space. I've used up my free listings, so adding 35p to the price to cover the listing fees. Will see how that goes."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
I've had quite a few sales over the weekend of things I converted to BIN so pleased with that :T
There were 59 books in that lot I bought yesterday  That will keep me busy for a while. I knew this particular author was prolific, but I've never heard of a lot of these so it was a nice find for me.
I'm trying to decide on dates to book a couple of days off work for me. I could do with it fairly soon, but there is a lot on at work at the moment, so will have to see."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Well done on the sales Jwil.x.0

Thanks penny

I did manage to get quite a few items listed over the weekend as well, so hoping for some more sales soon. I've had quite a few messages about various things, so am hopeful.
We are going away soon, so I'm trying to raise enough cash to cover that. I've convinced DH just to go away for one night rather than two so will save on accommodation and cattery fees (neighbour can keep an eye for one night whereas for two nights away cat would need to be in for 4). We are also staying slightly closer to home than normal (though only a few miles really) but every little helps I'm sure
We won't actually lose much of the break, as the extra night is usually just after we've travelled down the evening before. If we get up early and get on down, we'll be there not much later than we'd get up normally so that's all good. We'll still have the best part of two full days so enough to recharge the batteries and go to the event which we normally attend."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Hey jwil,
Well done on the sales :T
And those books sounded a good find for you and at a good price too
I am sure you'll have a fab time away - as long as you are prepared the day before then you more or less just need to get up and go so you can get there early enough as you say- i think you said you are an early riser anyway
Intrigued about the event
And i'm still scrabbling about trying to include all non-budgeted items

Thanks DDFW

Yep we tend to be early risers so it shouldn't be an issue.
Good luck with the finances, I used a budget planner to try and remember everything. I think I managed it!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
Several of my items have been bid on overnight so very pleased about that :T
Am going to try and get some more listed later."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
I've been catching up with surveys.
I'm so close to cashing out, but I keep getting screened out
I'm going to have to try and get in there sooner."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0
