Thanks smartcat
I had to do a survey on ebay yesterday, I complained about the fees
I don't actually mind paying them really, if you had a shop you'd have rent, you have pitch fees for car boots and you'd have to pay if you sold at an auction house, but I suggested they got rid of the listing fee and just took the final value fee. It's frustrating paying 35p when it's only low value stuff."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". He's ok, just has antibiotics, but I'm quite teary today

Thanks everyone, he's fine now thankfully

Hope everyone had a lovely weekend, we had a little trip down to Cornwall which was nice.
Little jwil has now taken his first steps :T So although he's still not walking, we took him to get measured for his first shoes.
Not very MSE-wise, he has decided to have giant feet  They are pretty much off the scale width wise. The shop we took him in didn't have anything there, so we went locally yesterday and managed to get him some. £32  I'm not sure I spend that much on shoes for myself!
At least we're not that far from Clarks village, so can hopefully get some bargains in the future.
Anyway, I've decided on a really tough challenge for June. I'm going to try and raise £2000 .
It's an expensive month, I've got car tax and the electric and gas bill is due, I've got to pay our annual line rental and a few other things as well.
I've had a few good sales recently and converting my stuff to BIN after it's been on auction a couple of times really seems to help clear some bits so I'm going to carry on with that.
Obviously it will be the usual - Ive identified a couple of boxes of new things to sort, and I've still got quite a bit prepared to go on ebay as well that I did a while ago. I'm close to cashing in on several survey sites as well so I'm going to try and do my surveys promptly so that I am less likely to get screened out.
I'm going to count my amazon vouchers from surveys as I can use them to avoid spending cash - I've got a couple of birthdays coming up so can save there.
I'm going to start from now, as I'm ready for the new month, and everything from last month is all allocated.
I have just redeemed £5 amazon from one survey site so that's a start. :j"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
Hi jwil,
So glad to hear you had a nice time and that little jwil is well
And almost walking :j how exciting! :j:j
That is a huge challenge jwil but you have plenty of stuff to sell so i'm sure you can do it - and really its only selling £500 worth a week so maybe aiming to list at minimum £100 a day? Just to chunk it down a bit? And of course there is the carboot money too
I too have a very expensive month - again
I am still working on the budget we discussed - of all the things i should budget for and don't as there isn't the money there for it - but i will get back to you now that i've committed to it - at least i will know where i stand
Have a good day hon

Sorry you've got an expensive month too. It's so frustrating isn't it. The budgeting is so hard as well.
You breaking it down for me has just made me realise what a huge task I have set myself :rotfl: I'm going to see how well I can do though. It would certainly make a big difference to my situation."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do".
