Wonder if they clock this forum and see this and cancel?

If the rumours about Google Alerts are true then they must see it !
  • If they clock it and cancel, then so be it. At the end of the day even if POPLA reject it, I should have no problems getting ASDA to cancel it :)

A local paper call might come later, but certainly not before POPLA.

Don't forget it's the bpa with the google alerts and not necessarily the parking companies, and I can't see the bpa going out to help companies like smart parking. Though I wouldn't be surprised if parking eye passes things on for a few quid

Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.

Well they've got to offset all these vexatious small claims costs and POPLA loss costs somehow, eh? ;)

This has got to be worth a call to the local paper. "Asda fined me for picking up my disabled son's medicene!". A bit of negative publicity would be a bitter pill for Asda to swallow.
Actually, since Asda's now owned by Wal-Mart, swallowing bitter pills might not be something covered by the training manual ;)

But isn't the BPA just an Old Boys' Network of parking companies?

Or are they now trying to paint a veneer of respectability over themselves before, say, the EU starts poking its nose in?

    Two distinct points.

Parking Prankster lost on double dipping as he could not prove it, so some proof may be needed.

Going for a prescription for a disabled son without a disabled person in the car is stretching things to a point where it falls beneath any reasonable adjustments being made for those who do visit the car park and need adjustments themselves for their disabilities.

How do you know there was no disabled person in the vehicle? The OP has not said one way or the other, and the OP may be disabled themselves

  • Well it will be a while before getting the code I expect, so plenty of time for people to suggest options. I don't care about winning at POPLA as I can easily get the shop to cancel it, so I'm happy to use it for experimentation.

Of course the other 'issue' is that I cannot prove I got a prescription as you don't pay for children's prescriptions hence no receipt!

re: the disability. All I will say is that the medication was for my child who is obviously registered disabled. We have no blue badge, and we parked in a normal space (on both occasions).

But I say "we". I drove one time, and Mrs H drove the other

I don't. But it seems sensible to me that if a disabled person was in the vehicle, OP would have mentioned it in their opening post.

So, if you want me to be pedantic, my previous post point 2 applies if no disabled person was disabled.

I have a disabled son and father in law and to use the fact that I was going shopping on their behalf when I got a ticket would be despicable in my book.
