Been missing again but been busy with the kids.
Weather has been fab here so we've had plenty of day trips here and there and have had plenty of picnics.
So today is a quiet day, kids playing out and I've just completed last months budget as I have been paid.
we ended the month with a 0.00 balance, really happy with this as I start this month fresh.
Savings for June were £565.
Spreadsheets are already for the coming month. I will know next Wednesday what savings were maid for July.
All my washing is up to date but I have a huge ironing pile but that can wait till tomorrow as the forcast is for rain0 -
Not much been to report these days, ticking along just nicely.
£579 put in the savings for July, kept some back as still some school stuff to get so might be able to add to that total.
Kids back next week :j looking forward to it and getting back into some sort of routine.
My weight is troubling me, I haven't gained anything since I weighed myself last so that's good but I do need to lose some at least a stone.
We plan to go on holiday to the Caribbean next summer so I have till the end of next June to get this weight off.
Once the kids are back I plan to use the Wii fit on the days I'm not working and to cut down on bread. Have looked at low crab diets but I don't think I could cut them out that much other wise there would be nothing I like to eat lol
So anyway, kids are out at friends today. I have meatballs cooking in the slow cooker and they smell yummy.
Right off to make lunch, will have a salad so no bread.0 -

Can I suggest you have a look at the Slimming World website? They have several sample menu plans you could try. A friend of mine has lost 5.5 stone since the end of January doing SW!

Thanks joedenise. I have been looking at a few sites and slimming world was one. Lost a 1lb but I am sure I have put this back on as was feeling really bad Wed - Yesterday and had a Gregs and a McDonald's as couldn't be bothered to cook. Very bad I know.
So pay day a week tomorrow, have £170 left to do us but the cupboards and freezer are full so should be fine.
DH is off camping with friends next week so is away to a camping shop so will spend some of the above money but at least the things he buys will be re-used again and again.
Weather here has turned, had to put the heating on yesterday it was so cold. Off to make a big pot of HM veg soup to keep us all warm today.0 -
Been MIA as been busy busy busy.
So we got to payday with a few £ left in the bank so happy with that.
Finances have taken a bit of a hit the last week so really need to keep a close eye on things. Put £300 in savings and would like to get that up to £500 but not sure if that's possible.
So anyway tonight we had roast chicken and home made chips and even if I do say so myself it was absolutely fabulous. I also made caramelized carrots.
So after I did the dishes I let the chicken cool and I have completely stripped it down to make another meal during the week.
I need to get make into the swing of things and today I feel I made a good start so feeling positive today.
It's been really cold but I am not putting the heating on, I've put my fleecy pj's on and have a hot water bottle and going to spend the evening ready the OS boards for inspiration0 -
Been busy this morning and so much more organized.
White washing on a hot wash, takes forever but when it's done I will get it hung out as the forecast is for dry weather.
Dishes all done.
Food bin put out.
HM Veg soup made.
Beef in slow cooker for tonight and potatoes and veg all peeled ready.
Kids have school bags and clothes sorted
Forms for volunteering at school, all completed, had put this off for over a week.
Still to do
Take rolls out of freezer for work tomorrow
Put a second wash on
Sort clothes for work tomorrow.
Off out to a friends house for lunch today so will leave in the next half hour (or as soon as the WM finishes)
Oh and today should be a NSD :j0 -
Well that's my working week over with.
I have been soo tired the last two day. Last night I couldn't string a sentence together I was that tired.
Anyway today is a better day.
Spreadsheet updated with bills etc. Money not so good this month only £300 put in savings but have had car tax and DH away camping so the spends for that and his equipment have put a dent in what goes away.
Really hoping September, October and Novembers wage we can save more off. Ruling out saving any on December due to Xmas.
So one wash hanging out, will wait for the kids to get in to get pe kits before doing another wash.
Will do pulled pork toning for tomorrows lunches.
Cupboards and freezer full so will only need to do a smallish shop on Friday. I have 6 x £3 off a £22 shop at Morrison vouchers so that will help keep the shopping down.
Feeling fairly organized again today, got some paperwork dealt with and even got the breakfast dishes done before the kids went off to school.
Kids have swimming after school so going to pack their bag then sit with my feet up for a whole.0 -
Hey Nympth! It's lovely to hear how well you've been doing, especially with the holidays and all.
The pulled pork sounds lovely.0 -
Hi Killerpeaty,thanks for popping in.
So today I have done the breakfast dishes, put a washing on and hung it out to dry.
Been to the shops and put it all away. Updated my spreasheets with my spends. So again feeling all organized.
Feeling a bit tired though so going to have a lie down for an hour or so.
Dinner will be mince and potatoes.0 -
So Friday did my shopping, put it away and up dated my spreadsheets. That's as far as I got. Was so tired I headed for a nap.
Yesterday we went out with friends and had lunch. Got back about 3pm and went to bed for a while. Thankfully we had loads of easy food in so dinner was very easy, normally though in that situation we would have resorted to getting a takeaway.
So today I have blitzed the house, stripped the beds, got the kids back on and have 2 more loads on the line. Kids rooms are tidy and so is the kitchen and living room though I am just now done in so going to have a lazy afternoon.
Money wise looks to be a bit tight DS came in last week with a slip about a trip early next year so £50 deposit needed. Will need to keep a close eye on our bank account as I'm not sure when the chq will come out.0
