I know what you mean IMP. My OH is also a protein junkie but as we work totally different hours we have to cook seperately anyway so we hardly ever eat at the same time. I've been thinking about going vegetarian for a while now and I used to eat meat twice a day when I lived with my parents. When I moved out I ate meat once a day and for the past year or so I've cut it right down to about three times a week. Now I haven't had any meat since Saturday and I hop I keep going.
Am also very proud of myself as yesterday OH offered to take me for a burger as he knows I am addicted to Chicken Royal burgers and I said No thanks! :T Very good of me I know. He was a bit shocked so I made him a pizza to make up for it and I had vegetarian pasta.
I won't be able to do much debt busting this month so am a bit down about that. But September should be a very good month I think. Just need to keep myself motivated. This month I will be focussing on my health.
Another four weeks till I get paid :eek:Don't ever be anybody's slogan because you are poetry

Just saw I have two stars next to my name now
Got paid £103 today so I put 100 of that in my savings account to pay my loan at the end of the month. Now I have £160 in there so I have three weeks to get another £120.
Next monday i will only get about £35 but the week after should get £70 and OH will pay me £50 from the money he owes me this month. So if all goes according to plan I should make it.
It's annoying me though because my CC would be under £2000 by now if I could use the money instead of having to save it.
I'm finding it really tough this month to be good. I am having serious shopping cravings. I know I can't and I shouldn't but I really want to.Don't ever be anybody's slogan because you are poetry

Oh hun we all have times like that, don't be too hard on yourself. I hope you're not completely denying yourself things though, remember we are only human and even if we are in debt we still deserve little treats every now and again. xxMFW

Your doing really well Madnessa. Just think of how far you have come and where you would be now if you hadn't come to this site.
Do you have anything you can car boot? I did one yesterday and made £56 not a massive amount, but every penny helps. And it's a great way of having a good clear out to. I'm taking everything I didn't sell to charity tomorrow so I feel like I'm helping others to!
But try to remember how far you've come and that it will all be worth while. Just think by 2008 you will be debt free.Current debt - £16,300Debt at worst 17/03/2011 - £18,067.62:eek::eek::ANot going anywhere else, ever again :A0 -
Thanks guys! Just needed a little moan. With our new flat I would really like to do it up and get it looking nice but i can't really afford it at the moment. Next month I think I will go to Ikea or something like that and see if I can't get some cheap pretty shelves so i have some more storage space. Might even treat myself to smelly candle
or something girly like that.

Sounds like a great idea.
Nothing like some accessories to change a room. I refurbed my bedroom earlier in the year and it came to under £40 (although this was before MSE so would be done cheaper still!!)Current debt - £16,300Debt at worst 17/03/2011 - £18,067.62:eek::eek::ANot going anywhere else, ever again :A0 -
I am furious
Just found out that idiot boyfriend spent £30 this week on kebabs. I can't even afford a new pair of knickers coz I am saving every penny and he is stuffing his face with disgusting, unhealthy and expensive meat! Every day this week. And there is a full fridge and freezer at home. Not that he has been eating any less! He never does the pig.
i was counting on that cash as it was all we have left at home for the weekly shop and now there is about 50 pence left. His account is empty and so is mine. Not to mention the fact that he was showing off about being able to live on £10 a week easily. What a load of S***!
I'm never leaving cash at home ever again.
I am now going to have to use the money I get on Monday to pay for food and petrol instead of putting it towards my debts.Don't ever be anybody's slogan because you are poetry
