    Hi Puzz

Just dropping in to catch up with your life :) Huge congrats to your DD - maybe not quite what she wanted but on the plus side she now knows she needs to do more than coast. My DS did fab at GCSE (11 x A*) and took his foot off the pedal for A levels and got B, C & C. Fortunately he got into uni for his science subject and never looked back. He got a 1st BSc, a Masters and a Phd - he really did acknowledge the experience of slacking at A level taught him a valuable life lesson.

Upgraded phone ......I am sooooo jealouse ;)

I slacked seriously at 'A' level stage too :o !!

A long time ago now but young men always seem to be the same!

Anyway - those are pretty good aren't they? I did worse than that, didn't go to Uni so got a job.:) I really wish I had gone to Uni though :( !!

Hi January, good to hear that all worked out well for your son, I'm hoping dd is going to put extra effort in this year to get what she wants!! As for the phone I wouldn't be too jealous, I haven't gone into the iphone world yet and was only prepared to up my contract by £4... I have a budget to stick to you know...!

So I got my little dd back Thursday evening, she enjoyed it more than she thought she would and I think its given her a confidence boost, which is nice...

She loved her new bedding and now has blackout curtains so can watch her tv during the day without having an old quilt cover pegged over the window...!

OH home tonight for a week then he's off again.... dd back to school on Friday...

    Money news..

Refund for delivery of said curtains received ... that's about it...!!!

Only managed 1 walk last week thanks to the weather but weight wise still bobbing at 10.8/9 Would like get to 10 stone by Christmas and start the new year at my goal weight so need to start being good...!!

Feeling a little low at the moment, probably the after holiday blues mixed in with no plans for another one etc.. Next year is going to be an odd one.. more on that later... I also need to save about £5k over the next 4 years...I need plans..

Right off to make a cuppa and unpack the dishwasher...

    Happy Sunday..

Thanks Noah and INOD for popping in!!

Well another weekend flying past and then we will be launched into the first full week of work and school...:(

OH is away again until next Saturday night so a girls house it is, apart from my boy cat of course... he's allowed..... I'm up to date on the washing and have got a pile of ironing with my name on it, which I shall do in a minute..

Last week we did walk twice and both times it rained on us.. mean British weather.. We are going out later today with mother too as she's coming to dinner tonight.. shepherds pie made this morning with 2 little one's for her to take home... good daughter I am...

    Money News..

Got a refund for a book I ordered on Amazon that turned out to be a very bad printed copy (didn't know you could do that myself..) The interior of the book is fine so I will enjoy reading it for free...!!

Have finally got some pennies in the RAC 2016 pot and started my NY 2019 pot.. this is to take dd to NY in her 21st year.. best start now....!!! Hopefully if my little bruv is still working for the airline company we can get cheap (hopefully posh.) flights but we will see as its 4 years off.. I am aiming at saving £5k.... wish me luck..!!

Will be paying lovely mother my loan installment today so that is now down to £3100... 15.5 months to go.....

DMP ticking along... Have written to N.west to request they default one of my accounts as they have defaulted the other 2.. Have had a text to say they are investigating and will come back to me.....

Also sent a cheeky email to sainsbobs today after I cut my finger on a tin of beans last night, the pully bit came off in my hand and sliced into me.. so I sent them some pictures of the tin and my blood..:rotfl: Sure they will love that !!

So now off to do the ironing.. boring.... but needs must, not sure what is happening this week other than work and school, if the weather is nice probably some walking and I will do another eve visit as I'm doing 1 a week at the moment, unfortunately not for cash though...

    Enjoy Sunday..
