Lovely little lie in this morning, and now 5 days off work.. :T
So today went to the office, for a leaving lunch for a collague.. there were a few people who, she is a lovely lady but as she pointed out she's only leaving not dead....
Popped to town to return an unwanted item, lucky for me they accepted it and gave me a £14.99 gift card to spend.... good job as this item was only selling for £4 max on ebay and that was before fee's.. so I can use that for another crhistmas pressie as dd list always contains many dvd/cd's on it..
Still suffering from this bloomin cold and cough.... boring.....
Up to £14.70 on one poll and they paid me hurrah for the last one, so that £40 went into the wedding fund...
And...its payday.. account looking lovely and tomorrow I will sit and move it all around so it won't look so lovely.. and first dmp payment out on friday..
Silly call from Halifax yesterday to tell me I was in arrears.. oh yes I know that, as do you as youv'e written to me many times now. And i've spoken and written to them as well and they have cashed both token cheques I've sent.. I think she was a little scared of me, as she apologised and shot off the phone....:rotfl:
Still none the wiser as to who has and who hasn't accepted the creditor offers, I'm hoping it will become clearer during the next month...
Getting ready for a man free house (bar the cat) for near on 5 weeks come friday when the Oh flies off on his jollies..... less domestic goddess duties for me with him away so that's always a positive...
Not much planned for next few days, not spending money will be a good one as I get that payday feeling and want to rush out and shop....
Freezer is stacked to bursting with yellow stickered/reduced to clear foods, I've definately got enough meals for at least a fortnight just for me and probably enough to cover the whole of December when OH is back so just bits and bobs to be bought.. still want another freezer, but that is a want not a need so will have to wait....
Another Rm parcel has rolled up to be posted probably next week, I pay the po and they pay me in vouchers so probably another £19 will arrive soon for moreshopping..
And of course its..this week, I have my half price chocolate bars at the ready and have made up some nice bags with more expensive sweets in for my neighbours little one's... Personally I hate halloween and fireworks.. bah humbug... oh no that's christmas.. have i nmentioned i love christmas...:rotfl:
Right off to do something.....

Busy few days...
Yesterday met up with a friend who I haven't seen for 5 years so lots of.. and a trip down memory lane...
Halloween.. gosh, I must have had a sign up saying I give really nice sweets.. it was constant from 5 till about 7, well over 60 children... emptied my cupboards of sweets... think I might go out next year...
My Oh has gone off on his joliies, he's currently in singapore, no doubt propping up the bar....:rotfl:
Today I've been doing domestic goddess duties and i'm shortly going out again to meet up with family for a birthday drink..I had the funds in my new birthday savings account to pay for pressie and card.. i'm so sad... I've got about 10 different accounts set up now, and come payday I've moved money all over the place.. its such a novelty to have money to move.. i'm sure it will wear off..:D
Up to £15.85 on one poll....
First dmp payment gone to SC, creditors will be paid 25th if they accept it or not.. apparantly RBS haven't but they have written to me to say they accept a £1 per month.. very confused but i'm sure it willl all be fine.. Have received 3 calls from Halifax now turns out they say they had a letter stating payment on 25th oct... well i've let SC know who say that's rubbish but they will send letter out again.. Also got bank statement through on od account, nothing has been added to it, so fingers crossed some of the debts will start to go down when payments hit the accounts...
Back to work monday, and no more leave until christmas... I love christmas.. going to go and do some more christmas shopping tomorrow.....
Tonight I shall be hiding from theand the
well I shall watch out the window....

Gooooood morning Puzz!!
You are doing so well! Well done on the refund, every little helps and all that!
I'm up to £31 odds on Onepoll, need to keep pushing! I'm aiming for £1 a day
Managed to get a few christmas presents in myself using Amazon/Swagbucks vouchers, Minecraft annual, cocktail shaker set, and a few paperback girly romance books for my sister, all for 'free'! Also, got 4 bars of Tesco finest chocolate for my sisters chocolate hamper, selling at £1.50 each, 2 for £2, and I had 4 x 50p off vouchers, so ended up 50p a bar! Can't think of anything smart to put here...0 -
Hi Zepsgal, Lovely bargains you got there, just make sure you don't eat the chocolate before christmas....
Back to work today..and suspect I may be quite busy this week as we are 2 down in my team.... oh well, keeps me out of mischief......
Have finished moving my money around for the month.. let's hope I don't run out and have to move it back.....
Up to £16.15 on one poll, so your a little ahead of me zepsgal, if you go for your £1 a day you'll hopefully get pay out pre christmas.. although the time it takes to get to you it may be a new year bonus.. always nice....:D
Moreshopping done yesterday, wanted to make the most of my 20% off voucher in WHS, so got wrapping paper and a few extra cards I need. I bought most of my cards in the sale in January... get me so organised.....Got my niece's first birthday present too, 20% off in ELC and a little christmas gift for her 25% off in M & S... love a bargain me....
So this week brings... not sure really, just us girls at home, except the boy cat who appears to have been in a fight today... grr... no big obvious wounds but he's acting all delicate so will keep an eye on him.... still haven't done my weekend.. lazy..

Well you can tell i've been busy as I haven't update my diary.. bad puzz...
But i'm back..... and hopefully the rest of the team will be come monday.. well except the one whose left of course...!
So other than work.. a quiet week.. only managed a paltry 15p on onepoll so £16.30.. must try harder next week.. did get a pinecone survey though so £3 to cash in from them... also got £19 Love2shop vouchers from parcel posting so that's gone into the christmas spends...
Doing okay with christmas.. picked up my neighbours childrens selection boxes in Tesco today... Buy 2 get 2 Free... so that's a few more knocked off my list...:D
I'm being very tight with the heating luckily its been quite mild here.. Just a short burst in the morning and sometimes an hour or so in the evening... I hate it when it gets really... makes working from home very expensive....maybe for the sake of mse I should spend more of the winter in the office.....
Not too much domestic goddess duties, you can tell who makes the mess in this house as with OH away we are still clean from my last burst of activity.. although I have cleaned my hob tonight in readiness for a visitor tomorrow.. I'm going to practice my menu for next weekend when I have all my girles over.. for ..and
and of course my lovely meal....
Nothing new to report with regards to my dmp, it looks like hopefully 6 out of my 9 creditors have frozen interest..:T no word from 1, no confirmation from another and we know creation are charging me 0.72% a month... but I will send out 'please stop' letters followed by a complaint once I start getting statements and can actually see how much of the payment they are getting goes off the debt...
I do have the possibility of getting some overtime over the next few months so that would be useful..... also my lovely mother wants to take me away, she be paying and we are looking at venice in the spring.... i will keep you posted....Christmas 2020 £109

Morning Puzz!!
Oh Venice, that's on my list of places to see! That would be a wonderful (free) holiday!
I'm up to £33.55 on onepoll, need to keep pushing! If I manage to get a payout I'm buying my husband a Harris Tweed bag from Next (£30), so I won't pay a penny for it :T
Keep pushing the last of your creditors to freeze the interest, even .72% is still too much!!Can't think of anything smart to put here...0 -
Morning Zepsgal,
You are doing much better than me with one poll at the moment.. I've managed to push it upto £16.45 so certainly won't be hitting payout by christmas...
Lovely idea to spend the money on your husband, I hope its a christmas present.. as it is that time of year.....!!!
I will push on the interest when I start to get statements after the end of this months payment is made, then I'll know what the damage is...!
Work computer system not working.. oh dear i'll have to catch up on other stuff instead.. :rotfl:
Will be going out this afternoon to do a visit but it is friday and i don't want to over do it before the weekend....:D
Have a friend over for dinner tonight so i'm trialing a meal i'm cooking for my 6 girlie friends next saturday.. if its horrible we shall eat cheese....and wine.. and cheese.......
Nothing very exciting to report otherwise, have had a last minute invite to some fireworks and supper tomorrow evening, get me 2 social events in one weekend.. but at least they shouldn't cost to much.. tonight i need some ingredients as I only decided to make a starter after i'd done the grocery shop.... and a bottle and a one way cab for tomorrow.. I shall dump my car there and collect it on sunday.. already requested a lift from a neighbour.. see i am mse....:D
Happy Friday one and all.. xxxChristmas 2020 £109

Hi Puzz glad to hear all seems to be going fairly smoothly on the DMP front. A bit of advice please - I remember you said that you requested a set start date for your DMP? Thinking I would like to do the same thing for mine as I have an outstanding family debt that I would really like to get paid off before the DMP starts, which would mean another month of doing £1 payments and using the spare to pay the debt. Were Stepchange OK with this and did you organise over the phone or via online? Also did you just carry on with the £1 payments and send the letter with the DMP start date ignoring any creditor moans? How many months did you do the £1 for?
Venice is amazing BTW, but just don't go at a busy time of year as it gets mental and its so small that it can drive you crackers!! Beware - v expensive food, drink etc - make for the backstreets though and you will find better food at more reasonable prices - but that is a relative term in Venice!!

Hi Schmalf,
I just told SC when I wanted it to start, I had some repairs I needed doing on my car and they were quite happy with that. Some of my creditors haven't received a proper payment since the end of August and my dmp payment goes out on the 25th of this month. So all 9 of mine have had 3 months of £1 payments, hardly any moaning, a few calls and I explained about the dmp. I do send a letter each time with the payment and made sure I sent one within each statement period.
Hope this helps, please come back and ask more if you would like to.
We are looking at Venice in May so shouldn't be too busy. My mother has been many times so i'm leaving it all to her particularly as she is also paying...:DChristmas 2020 £109
