So I've bitten the bullet and cancelled the change to BT for BB... I would love to change to them as I'm sure the super duper BB would be fab, but..... I'd rather not spend the cash..:money:... My internet has stayed on, bar once since dealing with AOL yesterday and I have left the engineer booked for saturday until tomorrow.... I can always change my mind again later... It would have meant my current payrise that came into effect as my dmp was being set up so not included would have had to gone to BT.. At the moment I stash it and am going to use it for spendies in Venice... After that I would like to be able to save it for something else or up my dmp payment a tad on review..
I'm finding it really hard to spend money even though I have allocated it for certain things....But from the list above I have now paid for the revision lessons during Easter, and will sort out the hoodie and year book later today.... got to be done...
As my DD is at school for 7 of the 10 days in the Easter Holidays it seems pointless me taking the second week off so may reduce that to 2 days instead of 4.. save my leave until she finishes mid June....
My seedlings are coming on fantastic.. my runners are about 8" tall and very strong.. hope to get some time and weather to plant them out at the weekend.. need to buy canes and plant food.. again spends I don't want to do..... I've gone tight...!!!
No other money news, still waiting to hear about the overtime, still waiting for one poll payment, still waiting for creditor statements so I can update my SC figures.... I just appear to be a lady in waiting.... :rotfl:
Happy with my 1/2lb loss yesterday, wasn't expecting anything and only need to do another 1 1/2lbs and will be free.. very mse...
Things I need to do..
1. Learn to say NO.. thanks...
2. Get on the treadmill.. pound off those pounds and its free as its in my lounge...
3. Challenge some change in other areas of my life..reduce naughty bad addictions...
4. Stay away from the supermarkets.. my grocery spends are  even with my reduced food buying.. and this healthy eating salad stuff doesn't last very long.. not sure how to get round that one...
5. Start sorting stuff for boot fair, I have the clothes rail ready to set up, next job gather all the stuff from around the house and sort...
That will do for my plans for April....
Now best get on with some work.....

Wishing your DD lots of luck though for lunchtime.

FRIDAY.....
Course yesterday wasn't too bad, although as per did run over time and then made the rest of my day a rush.....
Unfortunately, we missed the deadline for ordering the year book, DD's not bothered she didn't like her photo anyway.. so that's saved £15 which can be transferred into her driving lessons fund instead... Have just ordered the leavers hoodie and then 1/2 a prom to pay for... which is another £15..
Nothing exciting to report, have been given 6 hours overtime for the month so that will be another £80 in my pocket when I do them.... Not sure I will get all done before the April pay cut off but we shall see..
The weekend..
Off to do a visit shortly then back home and off to a neighbours for a few .. then back to cook curry..
Tomorrow I have an internet bod coming between 9 -12, and then need to do at least one visit, then over to my brothers for a bbq in the afternoon...
Also need to wash my car its disgusting, it has the whole of the sahara desert on it and loads of tree sap.. yum..... and my runners need planting out as they are getting very tall now....!!!
Also normal house work, hoovering, washing, etc. etc...
Have also changed my easter leave and cancelled 2 days and added a new flexi one, so that's 2 days back in the bank for later in the year...
Right off to hang some washing before going out again..
Quick wave to PG.. thanks for popping by... and yes her spanish went well thank you.. x

I am shattered.. what a busy day...
Last night before my friend came over for a wee drink I had to do a quick visit, which resulted in some free food..... Just some indian nibbles.. perfect as I had nothing in, as I was going to her.. so love freebies..... Fair bit of wine consumed but no hangover this morning, unlike last Saturdays disaster....!
So today.. up at 7.... on a saturday.. Quick call to sis in Oz and then out hoovering the car by 9.45.. washed car, swept road (only bit outside..) and drive and washed down front door, and washed car.. then cleaned bathroom.. then hoovered house... then lovely mum comes over having stopped and bought me some canes for my runner beans that were clamouring to be properly planted.. we then spent a few hours filling 'huge' pots with compost and planting out my babies.... then off to brothers for bbq.. yep I cooked.. and then home again.... also did 3 loads of washing.. I'm now on strike and not moving this evening...
Tomorrow I shall clean the kitchen, do the ironing, more washing and probably pop into town for a few bits, then more sofa surfing for me....
I didn't get to do my visits as time flew past. I aslo had the internet engineer round who managed to fix the wireless on my laptop that hadn't worked since the last call to AOL, and decided it was a fault on my phone line so I have another visit with BT to enjoy this week...
Lovely afternoon with my family, lovely to see my DD who doesn't ussually visit with me playing with my 2 nieces, but looking forwards to a more chilled day tomorrow...
Also finally got my creation statement through with its refund and I have now paid off 3.9%.. and its moved my dfd forwards a month...:T
Still waiting for my one poll payment.
Will aim to do my 2 evening visits next week so I can get those paid for spendies in venice and then try and do both saturday visits next week and they can be paid in May and go towards the wedding fund... well that's the current plan anyway...
Right off to read some diaries..Christmas 2020 £109

Happy Monday..
So this week's dilemma... To holiday or not to holiday.. that is the question.....
OH gave me £100 from his GN winnings, thank you kind sir.. to put towards a holiday.. I explained that I didn't think I could afford one this year, but he feels our DD should have one as she has her gcse's.. so he's offered to pay for the flights and accomodation... FAB... but it means I still need to come up with the spending money.....
So I haven't been saving for a summer holiday as I also have Venice with mum (she's prodominantly paying for this, just some spends needed..) and the wedding away in August, paid for flights already, OH will pick up tab for accomodation so just frocks and a bit of spends needed.
I do have the money but it is allocated to other things.. the unallocated money was to cover prom stuff/theatre trip/dd's 16th birthday.. (not that she wants to do anything..) but I could use some of this excluding prom costs and with a bit of ebay/boot fairs and a month off from paying my mum loan could cover it... decisions, decisions...
Any thoughts????Christmas 2020 £109

Just had a lovely long chat with dd and she would rather we go to the theatre than on holiday this year, she wants to chill at home. So decision made, I'll get OH to defer his kind offer and hopefully will also have savings to go next year.
That's a relief, I was already worrying about dipping into my saving pots...Christmas 2020 £109

Hi Puzzcat
Sorry not been over to your diary for a while. Been super busy, and just about been able to keep up with mine.
so glad for you that you don't have to worry about the cost of a holiday this year. The trip to Venice and the wedding will probably end up costing you more than you expect without adding a holiday into the mix.
Very sweet of your daughter to choose that.
