I didn't say that you said it was the worst problem in your life. I said I HOPE its the worst problem you will ever have in your life. You need to read it again.
You have no idea what problems I have had in my 63 years, ha, I could make your hair curl with problems I have had and overcame every one of them with a 'Get up and at 'em' attitude. Something sadly lacking in the world today. Idiotic you say, no just plain fact. Just get on with it instead of seeing problems before they arrive, they may never do.
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.
  • I had a very pleasant time watching the Tour of Britain on Sunday.:money:
  • Other options....

Asking family/friends to accommodate the kids?
Leaving work an hour early (on foot) to goto your car a mile away, that way you have plenty of time to reach the car and kids?

I appreciate you are venting here but I have to say I think you are wrong - its not pathetic (competitive sport) and there are many events that need road closures, not just cycling!

Everyone has problems in life. That doesn't mean they can't have a moan about the day to day stresses they have too no matter how small.

And, to add insult to injury .... most of us have never heard of tour of britain, so it's a complete waste of time and probably somebody's vanity project.

It has been going on since I was a kid, used to be sponsored by Milk Marketing Board. Can not believe it is a vanity project for anyone.

It is for one day, the same happened to various places for the Olympic flame and will happen again next year around Yorkshire for the Tour de France.

  • Try living in a town where they host the Open (golf), which lasts for about 5 days. ;)

They've started hosting the open in Cyprus?
  • I've never heard of it. I hate it when these things are imposed on everyone no matter what.

The price you pay for "not being interested in cycling".

It would not hurt you to get out of your car for once and use your body: you might even be healthier as a result.
