As a buyer I usually pay as soon as possible, then just wait for delivery, not fussed how long as delivery time is out off the sellers hands.

Only really been upset once with this approach & that was with a seller that sent a reminder to pay after 3 hours then did not post for 4 days, item arrived after 8 days.

Lets be fair, if I want something asap I will go to the shops for it.

Why not state in your advert when you intend on posting it?

Every item on Ebay as the postage time on. Its Compulsory!!!

You dont have to be psychic - just a little intelligence is required.

I've got an Amazon marketplace purchase I'm waiting for. I bought the item on the 15th of September. Personally I feel justified in getting a bit impatient on this one, but the 'delivery estimate' is from the 24th of Sept to the 14th of October.

So therefor there is no justification and you should not have bought it. Let me guess - cheaper than the faster sellers were they

Same here i have NEVER chased up a delivery for a purchase on the internet. I usually check delivery details before buying.

Fact is - if all the people with no life just waited for it to arrive - the sellers would not be wasting their time answering stupid emails - and could deliver faster.

I agree - if you want it now - get off your lazy butts and visit a shop OR pay extra to a faster seller. Simples.

If you buy from a placed product item from a third party seller you do not see the estimated delivery time until after you have purchased.

  • In over a decade of buying on ebay I've only ever chased up one seller about the whereabouts of an item and that was after waiting over a month for something to arrive from the USA. For UK sellers I never expect to see an item until at least a week after I paid for it.

Buyers who chase up sellers after only a couple of days since paying are obviously barking but I guess that's the risk people take when they deal with members of the public. Some MOPs should really stay away from the internet for their own safety.

Yes, this has caught me out before. It's pretty annoying. Thankfully, in my case, the item arrived well before the estimated delivery date, which spanned almost 2 months and the item was needed within a fortnight.
