Housing/Parking trouble

Hi there,
*Some background*
I'm 22 years old and live with my parents. We live in a small house, and we dont have a driveway- kind of like just a small lot of parking space outside our house.
So for the past few months this girl and sometimes her parents have started to park where we usually park. We usually park outside our house (as is the norm with most UK residents) however, with the intrusion of this girl and her parent's car, Myself or my parents would have to park someplace else- which is obviously a massive inconvenience as they park literally just outside our house.
Now, this is an inconvenience- yes, but i dont think there are any laws against this, so we let it pass even though it annoys the hell out of us. They dont even live on our road- they live on a few blocks opposite the house. We're not really sure why they park here... Anyway:
So They've been parking at our spot, which in itself is a problem- but the way they park is also a problem. They sometimes park diagonally or taking up two spots- which obviously is MORE of an inconvenience as the normal 4 spaces parking turns into two or three after they park.
Now, we've kind of gotten used to this, as again- we're not aware of any laws regarding this. We both pay the same amount of road tax.
However today, as i got home- i noticed there's loads of rubbish (mcdonalds wrappers, cups, tissues) just where the parking spot is. And i full well know that the girl and her friends just park there and hang out every night or whenever.
My question is- have we got a case on this girl? if so, How do we go about complaining?
I'm insistent on complaining, as i got home once, parked- and just so happens that her parents were there and gave me the dirtiest looks- as if to say 'Why are you parking in OUR spot' ?
I wanted to come out and say my house is bloody opposite.. go away.
If you guys can help somewhat, that would be great- i just wanted to know if we can punish them somewhat
Thanks!

Probably very little you can do. If it's a public road anybody can park there.0

Man, that sucks!0

Would park there all the time if it bothers you that much. Otherwise nothing you can do0
-
Could a note on the windscreen discourage the diagonal parking?0

If you are that bothered, go and buy a house with a drive way.
You have no legal right to park outside your house.
As for the diagonal parking, unless there are marked bays then nothing you can do.Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
Have you tried asking her nicely to not leave rubbish in the street? Or if you have a wheely bin out front ask them to put it in there?
To punish them, not sure what for, but keep parking outside the parents house would be silent justice in a way?

It's not YOUR spot......make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
I'm not sure why people get so territorial about the road outside their home. It's a public road paid for and maintained by taxpayers/ratepayers ie it's not your sole right use. Those who reserve spaces with stolen cones and wheelybins should be charged a storage fee.
I don't get it with Mrs V. We have 3 cars. 2 go on the drive, 1 on the road outside. If someone parks there she exclaims: "Who's that parked outsde our house?" I normally reply: "Someone with every right to in a taxed, insured and licenced car - get over it."The man without a signature.0 -

Especially when they don't drive/have a car. I know a few like that! You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride0
