    Hi everyone.
I'm going to be doing my 4th week of using 30% glycolic acid on Monday.
The first time I used it I had more spots than I had ever had. I wondered if I had done the right thing using the glycolic but it didn't happen again after that.
I have also started using retin a this week too.
Does anyone think using both glycolic and retin a is too much?

Hi Di nope your ok to use both just make sure you don't use the retin a 24/48 hours either side of the peel.

Devil I didnt get back on with SRs moisturisers have you tried the peel with just your normal?
  • Haven't got a "regular" moisturiser melly. The ones I had been using before I bought the collagen kit weren't working for me. Been quite a while since I have been settled with products.

Just can't seem to find skincare products that I get on with. Very rarely have that problem.

    Thanks Melly.
Theres so much conflicting advice out there. I'll definately not use both the same day.

    Whats your skin type?
I am combination and was having issues with a patch of sun damage and cystic acne on my jaw and chin.
    I currently use

    Night
OCM - to remove make up
Lavender or rose water - to remove residue
    Vit C - leave 15 mins
Palmers skin oil with additional seabuckthorn - first level moisturiser leave 5 mins
    Serum - leave 15 mins
    Night Cream

    Morning
    Warm flannel
    Lavender or rose water
Palmers skin oil no seabuckthorn - leave 5 mins
    serum - leave 15 mins
rose day cream - leave 5 mins
    no 7 sunscreen - leave 15 mins
    maybelline better skin
    eyeliner

Its long winded but I had a bad cystic chin spot on Friday (Burpday and hormones) I acided on Sat and its completely gone, this regime means I dont actually peel to badly. Today I have a little flaking around my chin and thats it.

Just did the Mandelic and have to say skin feels like it did after the professional Glycolic I had done, very soft, slightly tight but really nice.
Kept it on longer than recommended, 4 mins, doubt it will do much for my deeper lines but still worth doing as part of skin routine, all in all I'm pleased with this for the money and convenience.

My skin has been all over for a while now. Everything I use seems to not agree with me. I would say I have combination skin, just really struggling to find products that don't make matters worse.

I'm still using the products that came with the collagen kit as I'm trying to persevere with it. Once this regime has ended, I'll give my skin a rest and maybe try the Saylic acid peel.

Yes, I think it was you that recommended it on a thread I made about skin rollers. I'll definitely continue with this, skin feels soft as a baby's bottom.
Will probably get the roller as well.

I thought you did. Glad your getting along well with it. I'm not really having the same success to be honest, although I am trying to stick with it. I'm still getting a few breakouts and I was really hoping the peel would help minimise the pores. My skin is also looking quite shiny toowhich I wasn't expecting.

Please keep me updated on how things are going. I'm wondering whether I should've bought the Salicylic acid peel.
