iPhone 5s per order only on Friday?
I've just been told by 02 store that I can't upgrade to a iPhone 5s instore on Friday only a 5c will be available. Has anyone else heard this? At least it saves me going early to try get one although it would have been nice to have it on Friday I don't know how long it's going to take now

Was this not announced ages ago? This has been known for a while.0

I knew you couldn't preorder the 5s but I didn't know it wouldn't be available in store I must have missed that bit
is it just available via apple on launch date? The more i save the more i can spend:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:0 -
I understand that on Friday 20th, you can order the 5S for delivery on a future date and you can also buy it immediately in Apple stores.0

I'm due to upgrade and was advised by Vodafone earlier when they called about me upgrading that I'd be best to phone on Friday morning for 5s0

Why get it from Vodafone? Over 24 months (or whatever contract term you commit to) you'll pay more than buying from Apple and getting a £10-£15 per month SIM-only contract.Christina1982 wrote: »I'm due to upgrade and was advised by Vodafone earlier when they called about me upgrading that I'd be best to phone on Friday morning for 5s0 -
The cynical believe that the 5S only being available in Apple stores on launch day is an attempt by Apple to have the queues they used to get on the release a new iPhone.
There haven't been huge queues ever since you were able to pre-order and have the phone delivered on launch day.
Don't know whether that's actually the real reason or not, but i wouldn't put it past the Apple marketing machine.0 -
I was looking for an appt at Apple this week and no appointments or their courses are available on Friday so I reckon they are expecting to be busy. Its not that we have more patience as we grow older, its just that we're too tired to care about all the pointless drama
