Sorry to hear the news.
A couple of years ago I had £300 taken from one account & an attempt was made to take £250 from another account the next day. It was just before Christmas, & was just after I got paid. Luckily, the bank blocked the second attempt & I got the money back that was taken, but it took about 3 days to sort out with them.
If you can't get hold of any money & you don't think the petrol will last, could you possibly reschedule the appointments?BSC #53 - "Never mistake activity for achievement."

Would it be worth ringing back and speaking to a manager or calling into you local branch to get an overdraft facility asap - they should offer you this really until the monies are replace.

Why not ask your work for a payday advance? Or your boss if he's nice enough for the petrol money?
((((HUGS)))) It's a horrible feeling - mine happened on a Credit card but it still made me nervous.

That's awful news. Will the petrol get you to your appointments? Are you going to these appointments on behalf of work, maybe they could give you a salary advance / petrol fund to tide you over?
I hope it gets sorted out for you and here's a big hug from me. :grouphug:DFW Nerd Club #545 Dealing With Our Debt

Thankyou everyone, i've spoken to three people at the halifax today and they have all said due to the sort of account i have they can't extend the overdraft until the claim form has been done in 24 hours. i'm just so glad that the guy at the bank told me they were fraudulent before he'd read them out to me. just glad they're behind me on it.
Have been doing some clickthroughs recently and i remember one where they needed my card details for the free trial. i bet thats where they got the details from and i'm really angry with myself for using it on the web. please people don't fall into the same trap and get stung. :-(debt @05/11/11 £12210.63!! slowly chipping away!!:heart2:impossible is nothing.:heart2:0 -
HI Pania, I'm sorry to hear your news. It's awful when somebody takes your money like that, we had £1800 stolen last Jan after staying in a v posh hotel in Chester for our anniversary. The bank paid back the money straight away and we had to sign a statement to say we definitely didn't use the money. The people that used our account bought a computer so hopefully the police got the delivery address!
Anyway lots of hugs and I hope it concludes well
