  • I have spotted in the shops Lurpak 750g packs. Usually they are 500g then 1KG. Correct me if I'm wrong but is that a sign of them shunting the 1KG ones?
    PK! :money:
  • I popped into sainsburys this morning for a few of their basic bits that we use. Noticed that their curry sauce is down from 500g jar to 440g jar. It was 55p for this new size which is the same cost as when it was 500g jar.

I remember when I first bought this sauce it was 9p (6 years ago).

I saw this and the pack is the same as the 1kilo one but shorter. £4 in Asda. I'm going back to real butter from England

  • I know this isn't food, it's toothpaste. :o
    Children's toothpaste to be precise.
Aquafresh "My Big Teeth" children's toothpaste in various age rangers for younger children used to be sold in a boxed 75ml tube.
Now the box is the same size but the tube inside has shrunk to 50ml.
A whole third less - but the price is the same.
    Shame on you GSK.

An old thread but I thought I'd post anyway -

Not an everyday item, I grant you, but shrinkflation still applies.
I always buy my wife Creed Aventus perfume. OK, it's a luxury brand, and it's not cheap, but it still leaves a bitter taste when it's subject to this -
    Was - 120ml, £230
    Now - 100ml, still £230.

No discounts anywhere by the way, list price only, presumably at threat of losing authorised retailer status.

  • I've sometimes found the price increasing as the size of the product gets smaller!
