    Evening ladies,

I, as well as several on here tonight have had a lot of lovely memories of Toots to think about. I was very fortunate to meet her in person several times and I am forever grateful to her for giving me some very good advice when things weren't going great - she pushed aside the suffering which she was going through to offer help and support when I was in a dark place.

In her memory I have completed both lists this week (that hasn't happened for approx. 2 years) rooms are looking good and back to flylady standard.

I am sorry that I haven't managed to keep up with the thread but life took over but after the news today I have realised that over time I have made a lot of friends and connections via this page and although able to keep in touch with lots of you via FB this thread is where it all started, so I will be back I may not manage every list every day but in memory of toots I will be back to earn as many stars as I can.

    Toots RIP you deserve to.

Hugs to all the flyladys tonight, I didn't know toots but have thread some of her posts.

Kitchen is now clean and bean burger mix has been made, cats have been allowed food and are no longer isolated from each other as no1 was crying down the house. Will post updated list when I'm on the laptop tomorrow.

So lovely to see you 'oldies' back sharing memories of our heyday. As flyladies come and go over the years the one thing which remains the same is the support, love and non-judgementalness of the posts oh and the odd bit of cleaning along the way.

I regard you all as dear friends

SarahShattered wishing you all the luck in the world in your game of snap

    Off to post tomorrow's list

  • So sad to hear the news of Toots. I may be a newby but the things I'm reading show how loved and respected she was, I hope that's of some comfort to her friends and family. RIP.

It's lovely to see such a community feel to the thread tonight. When I first found MSE I was a DFW and the community feel there helped guide me through a tough year getting rid of my debt and without that I wouldn't be where I am today. I'm now looking forward to sitting in a years time looking at my pretty sparkly hoosey and thinking I'd not have been here without the Flying Ladies and their Toots lists!

Have a good night all, catch up with you all tomorrow

Anyway, the rest of the day was a bit of a write-off, with me feeling sorry for myself. I'm feeling better today - there's nothing at all I can do about the house, and if the baby comes early, I can't do anything about that either, so there's no point stressing out about it.

I've got a quote pinned in my office which says "either find a solution to your problem or stop considering it a problem" but I think you're well entitled to a whimper as I'm sure you would rather be in your new nest sooner than later. hope things improve.

Ahhhhgggggghhhhh. Have just written 109 words of my new opening (for the Challenge novel), only to discover that I'd done another new opening a few months ago, of 999 words. And they're not compatible. GGGGrrrrrrrr. Wasted mental energy and creativity.

Not wasted at all, it will come in useful somewhere.
Must check on challenges as I sort of missed the idea when I was on holiday and didn't read the threads. I used to do bits of writing ages ago, and would like to pick it up again now my work is a bit more flexible. Keep going with both as the mood takes you, you never know what might be useful.

  • Another candle lit for Toots although I am more of a newbie her name was noted.

Zilch in the way of flying today I'm afraid, though most of today's tasks were done by OH on Saturday bless him.
    - went to zumba
    - had coffee with zumba ladies instead of doing next class
    - had lunch with friend (ex work colleague) who said ex work a)may want me to do some work on contract (good news) and b)various changes since I left, and I would hate to be still there (reassuring news as I left for different reasons before changes announced)
    - OH and I went to Cambridge on motor bike (cue rain in both directions) to greturn camera he gave me for my birthday, which packed up during holiday. Bet Fuji won't pay for a new holiday.
    - did few surnveys and holiday company feedback.
    - now grappling furiously with jumping wireless keyboard. I hate wires but this thing just leaps everywhere, overtyping and messing lines up. May have to give up on it. Any hints anyone?

Gonna go and sort DD's hair and then get boys up plus i'll stick the dw and wm on before I go.
