So sorry to hear about Toots - I really enjoy reading her welcome every week.
Me Challenge Update: Not brilliant, but will be able to pay a bit more than usual towards some debts, which I'm pleased about and have also hopefully found another source of potential income c/o my local council. The wood is being touched ......
Flying: Have managed to jar my back from a fall over a month ago and which has only just started playing up now. So, " 'ickle bits" is going to be my new mantra for the next few days. In other words, take it gently ......
Hope to post later in the week.

I'm SO upset about this .. Toots & I had a lot of things in common & always tried to spur each other on. The last text I received from her I knew she was 'tired' but she still maintained I was her inspiration. If only she knew what an inspiration she was to me (I kept telling her) & so many others.
She was a wonderful lady with a heart of gold & a light has gone out in my life today .. the world will be a much poorer place without her.
Yes, Diva will be there for her I'm sure xx
Jinks sends her love & condolences & will miss her very much too xxxx
AnW's Love to you all .. I know how close you were xx“Cancer has my body but not my spirit, and I’ll continue to make jokes, not so much about cancer, but in spite of it” Irwin Barker0 -
Hi all. Very sorry to hear about Toots - I've been on here in the past when she was on the thread, so I had virtually "met" her. Hugs to all who are affected by her passing.
I've been cracking on with a bit of flying today. Not got as much done as I would've liked, but a few things are sorted:
Today my list looks like this:- [STRIKE]Chase up solicitor for new house[/STRIKE]
- [STRIKE]Organise Energy Performance Certificate for flat [/STRIKE]
and he has been round and done the certificate - [STRIKE]Hoover and dust flat[/STRIKE]
- [STRIKE]Ring Tesco to get some cardboard boxes[/STRIKE] - I have to go there and ask apparently
- Go through larder and meal plan what can be used up
- [STRIKE]Book hospital tour[/STRIKE]
- Wash and sort baby's hospital clothes - done half of these, but I need my OH to reach a box with the rest of them in it.
- [STRIKE]Make a list for my hospital bag [/STRIKE]- I now need to buy more "essential" things
- Research home insurance for new house
- [STRIKE]Ring man about new vinyl floor in kitchen[/STRIKE] - done but left a message as he wasn't in.
- Spend half an hour packing up the "posh" tea set.
15 Minutes..
Wipe out the fridge, note what needs using up or restocking
30 minutes to spare..
[STRIKE]Sweep[/STRIKE] and mop[STRIKE]the floor[/STRIKE]
Wash out the washing machine drawer
Got an hour...
[STRIKE]Wipe the surfaces, removing things which don't belong here as you go[/STRIKE]
Are the spiders coming in from the cold, go on a cobweb hunt
Extra challenge:
Choose your messiest drawer and give it a good tidy, wipe out if you have the time
Renew library books, fill in that form you've been meaning too, [STRIKE]check for birthdays in the next few weeks[/STRIKE]
Tuesday - Living Room, Hall and downstairs loos
15 Minutes..
[STRIKE]15 minutes tidying, putting away or sorting a pile in the corner[/STRIKE] - done, but now have a new pile of baby clothes!
30 minutes to spare..
[STRIKE]Hoover the floor[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Wipe mug rings and sticky finger prints away, wipe the remote control[/STRIKE]
Got an hour...
Sort out a cupboard in one of these areas
Work on that paperwork mountain with 15 minutes shredding, filing, recyling etc
Extra challenge:
[STRIKE]Locate wellies and waterproofs, check they fit[/STRIKE] They live in my car;)
Change pet bedding, they will be spending even more time in them now the weather is turning - WM has been busy doing baby clothes all day today - cat blankets will have to wait.
The flat is full of baby clothes drying and waiting to be dried. I bought a few packets of baby grows in Mr As in a panic about a month ago in case he came early. But since then I've been amazed by the generosity of my friends and family and have received so many little outfits for him as well as all of my nephew's hand me downs. I've even managed to sort out a few well-worn hand me downs that I don't need to go to the charity shop.
Hugs to all xxMarch 2016 - £178,914.59; July 2017 £146,160.38
Mortgage end Sept 2043; Target - pay off by March 2022, now Sept 2021
Target balance July 2018 £112,5600 -

I went to the physio this morning and after having some deep treatment to my shoulder came home absolutely whacked - I have only just recovered a bit of my GUAG late this afternoon. The carpenter has taken over the otherwise empty dining room (where the plaster is still drying out) as his workshop; all our coats and other things from the cupboard under the stairs are in the kitchen on the dining table (additional to kitchen table) while he changes the door frame and puts in a hanging rail; and the lounge is full of new doors, 4m lengths of skirting board and architrave, one sofa (the other is temporarily in the kitchen) and big armchair, 5 dining chairs, TV, desk and all the new light fittings and pots of paint, plus some packing cases. Tomorrow we have someone coming to check the lounge chimney, so DH and I have just been shifting things around in there *again*.

I have just read back through the list.
So sorry to hear about Toots' passing - as so many people have said, an inspiration to all of us flyladies. I love my Toots list because it isn't just what *has* to be done but what *could* be done - it allows me to dream! May she rest in peace and fly with the angels. Hugs to all who are missing her.0 -

My sentiments exactly.
If her welcome guide was a reflection of her (warm, friendly & caring) then the world is indeed a darker place.
Love & hugs to those that knew her properly, I gather she'd been ill for sometime? RIP xxx0
