it depends upon which branch your account is held at.

I'm sitting on my hands for now. Other banks may also have deals in the pipeline.

How are things at TSB anyway? Are they haemorrhaging customers, or are people flocking to join?

They'll need to pull some business into those 164 C&G branches, unless they're planning to close them really.

Not so sure that it is as simple as that.

Between us my OH and I have (had) 6 Lloyds accounts all at the same branch.

3 have been transferred to TSB and 3 have stayed with Lloyds one of which has been moved to a different Lloyds branch.

Strictly it depends on the sort code. Some branches had more than one sort code, as a result of taking over accounts from closed branches. It's not impossible that some of those branches have been split, especially where there's a C&G branch down the street.

Is it just me or does this seem like a bit of a shambles? ;)

Presumably, if my three Vantage accounts were to have become TSB, I would know about it by now? (The last time I checked them was about two or three days ago, and that was via 'lloydstsb.com', which doesn't really clarify anything... :p)

I had a vantage a/c with lloydstsb and when I tried to log in as normal a couple of days ago I was redirected to TSB website. Nothing else seems to have changed.

Can't see where the shambles is? If your account had moved, you would have had several letters from Lloyds about it. Since you didn't get any letters, nothing has changed for you.

There aren't any split branches according to the official list of branches being transferred. They are either staying with Lloyds, or becoming TSB. Yes, some branches had two, or even more, sort codes, but all sort codes at particular branches should have either stayed with Lloyds or become TSB. There's nothing on the list to suggest that some branches have been divided along sort code lines.

You'd know about it either way, because all customers were sent letters a while ago to say whether they were staying with Lloyds or becoming TSB. So no shambles, just some customers who don't read their letters.

I went into a TSB branch this afternoon with a mate who (like me) is new to TSB and he wanted to open 3 Enhance accounts. I have applied for an Enhance and Internet access on Monday this week and am still waiting to hear any more but he now has his Internet access and 3 Enhance accounts. It took all but 10 minutes to have it all sorted. Debit cards and PINs will come in the post. The staff were very friendly and knowledgable and we were offered coffee, tea, cakes and nibbles. They had no issue with my mate saying he just wants the accounts for the 3%.

My application from Monday is in their system and we decided it was probably best if I wait to get everything through the post. Shame, if I had known how easy it is in Branch I would have gone there Monday. Ah well. You live and learn.

We did gleen that they are definitely expecting some switch offers but details and timing are presently unknown. They said that even if you have 3 TSB current accounts already, you could still switch - but only to an account without Enhance.
