Good afternoon gang
Hope everyone is well. Can anyone confirm whether the BNI promotion ends today? I was told so by a floor manager last week - but he also told me they were not going to get any more Jalfrezi's in....and they have restocked since.
As for taking kids out of school in term time, it's a fine per child per Parent for us as well.0 -
I went to pick up my GTA pre-orders at Tesco today. First shop went fine.
Went back in for more coke, went on SS and used 2 Coke coupons, but was trouted when trying to use a PP (with tomorrows date on). At first she authorised it, then realised and, couldn't work out how to cancel it (thicky lol).
She ended up all flustered and took me to a manned till to just re scan everything. When she left I gave the SA the PP and she just did put it through lol
Got another PP for £4.12I Hate Jobsworths!!!0 -
If they were buying anyway it would you get in trouble for trying to sell the vouchers ...
Anon
I didn't sell them the vouchers anon I gave them to people for nothing I had 4 pre orders I used one for myself then gave away the other three to people for free so that they could save money rather than me shredding the slips.0 -

I think you've got a pretty horrible LA in that case, I looked up the guidance for Cornwall http://www.cornwall.gov.uk/default.aspx?page=33548 and they certainly say Penalty notices may be issued to any or all parents defined by section 576 of the Education Act 1996.
But I think they'd be unlikely to fine both parents for the same event.
The fine has been increased to £60/£120 since they wrote that.0 -
Afternoon All
been mentioned on HUKD and facebook that Ocado are selling Bulmers Apple and Pear Cider 8 x pint bottles. 2 for £10 which looking at other supermarkets are a really good price. Not seen it mentioned on here yet.
If go through quidco and not registered with Ocado you get £9 cashback and there is a voucher for £10 off a £50 spend.
Sorry if I have not explained this very well
xxNow on the 5:2 diet.

hello all
Just home now from hospital after I took DS to see the OOH Dr on Sunday night
Needless to say, I'm so glad I took him. His breathing was really bad when we got there, the Dr said he needed to be admitted straight away to get him on oxygen and get some antibiotics into him.
He's loads better now, thanks to those who were asking after him :A
Cuppa and a proper catch up now0 -

Penalty notice
Instead of being prosecuted, you can be given a penalty notice. [Squills: by the school/ local authority.] The penalty is £60, rising to £120 if it isn’t paid within 28 days. If you don’t pay the fine, you’ll be prosecuted.
Prosecution
You could get a fine of up to £2,500, a community order or a jail sentence up to 3 months. The court also gives you a Parenting Order.
https://www.gov.uk/school-attendance-absence/legal-action-to-enforce-school-attendance
There was an amendment to that regulation about the penalty notices to bring it into line with other types of penalty notices. A £60 fine now has to be paid in 21 days and a £120 fine in 28 days.
Just saying so you (or anyone else) don't get caught out0 -
