I WISH MSM would get their Dr O prices correct:mad:. I want to use my vouchers! Waitrose have the Panebello at BOGOF £2.99 and Tescos have the Restorante at £1.39 but MSM not updating.

Call me suspicious but I'm actually wondering if Dr O have been in touch with MSM as they are losing so much money on their pizzas?

Can confirm the dr O panebello pizzas are both half price £1.49 in tesco instore this morning as I picked up two with mocs with my copy of GTA this morning. Also handed out the other 3 pre order slips to strangers with copies of the game as didnt want the slips to go to waste :) did get some very strange distrustful looks tho lol. Guess people just don't expect something for nothing with no catch.
  • A lot of us are parents of school age kids, did you see this?

The Education (Pupil Registration) (England) Regulations 2006
Amendments have been made to the 2006 regulations in the Education (Pupil Registration) (England) (Amendment) Regulations 2013. These amendments, as described below, will come into force on 1 September 2013.
    Term-time holiday

The Education (Pupil Registration) (England) Regulations 2006 currently allow headteachers to grant leave of absence for the purpose of a family holiday during term time in “special circumstances” of up to ten school days leave per year. Headteachers can also grant extended leave for more than ten school days in exceptional circumstances.
Amendments to the 2006 regulations remove references to family holiday and extended leave as well as the statutory threshold of ten school days. The amendments make clear that headteachers may not grant any leave of absence during term time unless there are exceptional circumstances. Headteachers should determine the number of school days a child can be away from school if the leave is granted.

At my childrens school they haven't been authorising holiday for the last 2 years, so when i take them out of school for our family holiday, it goes down on their record as unauthorised abscence.
Not sure if they will be issuing fines aswell , although the £60 fine for each child is still cheaper than going in the school holidays.
  • We know they are half price BUT call me greedy I want an APG too!
Both Waitrose and Tesco are showing as £2.99 each on MSM

We've got some friends taking their 3 kids on holiday for a week I think end September - same 2 schools as our kids. I'll be interested to see how they get on as they're going to miss 5 consecutive days (not just the odd day).

We're pinching a day for the next half term hols so I'll have to think of something.

Local authority here will fine parents £60 per child taken out per parent so if we took our 2 out would be £240 in fines per week !!!! May as well just do holiday at higher price:mad: and they only sent out the letters a few weeks ago so many people already got Xmas time trips booked. We haven't been on holiday for 7 years and looks like it maybe a while longer yet to save :(
  • Just spoke to our school secretary, who likes me! We discussed all the training days coming up. I candidly asked a hypothetical question about whether ringing in sick days count as authorised or not & she immediately said 'authorised, far better idea' :D

Use half water and half apple juice - it's REALLY nice! Add bananas and raspberries or blackcurrants, blackberries etc. - Makes for a VERY nice breakfast & some of your 5 a day!
I suppose you could also make the porridge with orange juice or any other juice - we like apple though.

I got Dorset Cereal raspberry porridge when it was half price and its gorgeous - half milk and half water. I've got some blueberries in the freezer - think I might pop a few in and see what it tastes like :)
