Just home now from hospital after I took DS to see the OOH Dr on Sunday night
Needless to say, I'm so glad I took him. His breathing was really bad when we got there, the Dr said he needed to be admitted straight away to get him on oxygen and get some antibiotics into him.
He's loads better now, thanks to those who were asking after him :A
Cuppa and a proper catch up now

But I think they'd be unlikely to fine both parents for the same event.
The fine has been increased to £60/£120 since they wrote that.
Id check for up to date info Squills. Your LEA will have puplished a code of conduct which outlines their policy on penalty notices. The legislation has been really tightened up. It doesn't leave room for much discretion. If you are planning a term time break you'd be better to know what size of fine you might be hit with!0 -
So glad your ds is much better Mildred xxCherish those you have in your life because you never know when they won't be there anymore.

Personally I think its a disgrace that you would be charged to take your kids on holiday. This can give them an education of local hertiage and culture, not to mention if going abroad, foreign language etc. And if its to family then there is a sense of belonging.
Its not parents fault that holiday/airlines take the proverbial during school holidays.
Maybe a better system would be to look at attendance over all. Or family needs ?
I have done it occasionally up here in scotland and each time had a lovely letter from head teacher saying have a wonderful holiday :T0 -
Just back from a wasted trip, no special Pantene or Bombay potatoes in my local. There was a picture outside store advertising 3 for £10 with a picture of the said shampoo as well.
.
Really need shampoo as run out from the large APG glitch last year, and now I have to buy it, it upsets me to part with the cash.£2015 in 2015 (Although actual goal is £10 a day)0
