We donate £10 a month to Macmillan, to be honest we can't afford to but they cared for my Best Friend so well when she passed away from a Brain Tumour 2 years ago. They rang my Partner at work the other day and said we see you pay £10 a month and wondered if you would like to put it up to £20, didnt even say Thanks!
Don't get me wrong I know its so hard to fundraise these days especially but I didnt think trying to get more money from long term existing supprters was the way forward, if I didnt have such a personal reason for donating to them it actually would have made me consider stopping donating to them and choosing another charity instead.
That is exactly how I feel, Mcmillan nurses were fab with my sister when she was so poorly with cancer, that I felt I needed to pay my bit, but when they are so pushy, it does make you think again.Queenriderbrekke wrote: »Sorry, a bit slow here today.
The Walkers Crisps, is everbody buying 3 for £4 at Asda with one of the flavours not showing on APG so comparing at full price to Tesco's 2 for £2.
Or just buying 2 packs at Asda as fillers for other things please?
I just bought 2 packs at Asda as fillers and compared to Tescos 2 for £2. hth.0 -

The lady then goes on to say all about the research that goes into cancer treatments and starts asking for a donation of £12.00 a week :eek:, my god, we already pay £10.00 a month to cancer research. I lost my sister to cancer, so I really don't mind paying it, but £12.00 a week is a bit steep. I politely told her that I couldn't afford it.
Any way I am doing a 3 hour zumbathon in a couple of weeks to raise money for cancer research, my contribution.0 -

Why was pics removed? but then, they were a 'bit' graphic. :rotfl:
I could add them to the skipping page.0 -
Just checked my receipt and barcodes for bread and s&g definitely different.
Is it true was the sada customer adviser told me that the glade and s&g are classed as non grocery items, therefore do not count towards your 8 items?
Thanks everyone for your input, much appreciated. If I try again I don't want to make the same mistake. xx
They most definitely do countApparently, everybody knows that the bird is [strike]the word[/strike] a moorhen0 -
