Morning everyone.
No picture this morning from me as today is not a good day for me.
My German Shepherd, Misty, who has been a big part of my life for the past 13 years, is being put to sleep this morning.
This is one of the hardest decisions I've ever had to make and although in my heart I know I'm doing the right thing, I feel so bad.
Instead of a picture, I thought I'd post this poem;
When God had made the earth and sky,
The flowers and the trees.
He then made all the animals,
The fish, the birds and bees.
And when at last He'd finished,
Not one was quite the same.
He said, "I'll walk this world of mine,
And give each one a name."
And so He traveled far and wide
And everywhere He went,
A little creature followed Him
Until its strength was spent.
When all were named upon the earth
And in the sky and sea,
The little creature said, "Dear Lord,
There's not one left for me."
Kindly the Father said to him,
"I've left you to the end.
've turned my own name back to front
And called you dog, my friend."
So sorry wacky, huge hugs to you both this morning. XLife is not about learning to avoid the storms - it's about learning to dance in the rain.0 -

Online offer at T which will probably be unsigned in store but will hopefully go through the tills as per previous similar offers.
Good for T vs S
Buy Flora Buttery 500g £1.95 and get 1L pure milk free. If you add 2 x Flora it adds 2 of the milks automatically.
Flora Buttery £2 bogof at S.
No idea if the milk compares as usually buy the ordinary 4pts for £1 stuff.

Also, have been adding these to a shop usng the 50p mocs - Vimto "juice drink" - they are with the long life fruit juices, but not really fruit juice. Also Cherry variety. Don't compare anywhere so good as fillers
1x VIMTO N/A/S JCE DRINK 1 L - £1.00 n/a n/a n/a
1x VIMTO NO ADDED SUGAR CHERRY JUICE 1L - £1.00 n/a n/a n/a
Morning.
Strange the vimto cherry didn't compare, I got 1 litre from asda the other day using the 70p moc and it compared £1.78 to £1.
Edit, I see you got juice not cordial.
Sorry to hear about your dog Wacky.Back to square one, no apg, no comment.0 -

aaarrrggghhh wrote: »Just had to post - this happened to me this year. Lost my job due to restructuring at the school (for fairclaire and others in the area - the blue one beginning with High*****). Was so worried but I'm now in a much better position in a different career although still with kids, financially, the hours are fantastic (only work 5 in 14 days), yes the shifts are long but my workmates are brilliant. Really landed on my feet.
This is so very true, there is some sort of cosmic plan and things really do happen for a reason. I've seen this so often, for instance ...
MY youngest went for a job interview, it was a trainee job so it only paid £50 a week but with it came accommodation in a staff house with food and it was only just over an hour from home so not too bad for visits home, it was an area perfect for all of his walking, climbing, water sports activities and it was close to where his mate from uni worked/ lived so he would still get to see him.
So when he got rejected for this job it was like a slap in the face.
But he started applying again and he had several job applications in process anyway and son didn't seem too phased by it.
Then he got another interview, this time with a national/international company, a huge thing to even get an interview with them but his uni qualifications plus all the extras he had been doing stacked up. 4 days later he got the call and 6 weeks later he started working for them.
So now he is living on site in a house right Ullswater, only one other person in the house so he has his own part of the house, own bathroom and the kitchen and living room mostly his own, very small rent which includes bills, perfectly placed for all of his activities and he still sees his mate - already been up to Fort William twice. There are 150 instructors working there so he is learning so much more, working with them -the other place only had 9 - far better to start as a small fish in a big pond. When they go out with groups to other centres for residential weeks and when he works overnight he gets meals so some weeks his food bills are very low. At the moment while he is training he only has to do 30 hours a week but he can go out with any coach or group to get extra skills and more hours in or if he has 3 or 4 days off together he goes off walking or climbing somewhere in the Lake District or Scotland. And he's getting proper money, about £150 a week after rent - more or less his perfect job.
Life does give us rough deals, sometimes there are reasons for it“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -
