The one I mentioned is free and when I used it, very effective - saved hundreds of photos deleted when I deleted a user account without keeping their files.
My files were not deleted though, when I connected up the hard drive - nothing, nada it just wouldn't fire upI had no choice but to send it away.
Something unexpected happened which made me smile and still continues to make me smile.

Morning everyone. I have just realised Artha hasn't been on this site for ages - anyone know how he is doing?
A house divided against itself cannot stand - I love this proverb, and thanks to my lovely family for making me realise that we can get through most things together0 -
Morning everyone.
No picture this morning from me as today is not a good day for me.
My German Shepherd, Misty, who has been a big part of my life for the past 13 years, is being put to sleep this morning.
This is one of the hardest decisions I've ever had to make and although in my heart I know I'm doing the right thing, I feel so bad.
Instead of a picture, I thought I'd post this poem;
When God had made the earth and sky,
The flowers and the trees.
He then made all the animals,
The fish, the birds and bees.
And when at last He'd finished,
Not one was quite the same.
He said, "I'll walk this world of mine,
And give each one a name."
And so He traveled far and wide
And everywhere He went,
A little creature followed Him
Until its strength was spent.
When all were named upon the earth
And in the sky and sea,
The little creature said, "Dear Lord,
There's not one left for me."
Kindly the Father said to him,
"I've left you to the end.
've turned my own name back to front
And called you dog, my friend."N1LDA0 -
Good morning Elite, horrible out there but at least it is mild.cheesyball wrote: »I have been reading Stephen King since I was about 13, I love him. I got a bit board with his books but I quite liked last years (enteryearhere) when he was time travelling. Wasn't keen on The Dome I think thats why i taped it coz i know the book was a bit rubbish so film/programme wouldn't spoil it.. I hate watching a film if it was a good book.
Only decent book into film I have seen is Green Mile.. even that missed loads out...
Absolutely love Stephen King, queued for ages to get Lisey's Story signed by him in Oxford Street, but I think my favourite book by him was It, picked it up for half an hour at 10.30 one night while OH was away, then realised it was time to get up :). Loved The Green Mile film, but after what you said I may well have to read it too. Have more than 30 of his books so OH won't notice anotherDelilah sorry about your job and pizza
Scamps hope you can recover your pics
