Morning everyone.
No picture this morning from me as today is not a good day for me.
My German Shepherd, Misty, who has been a big part of my life for the past 13 years, is being put to sleep this morning.
This is one of the hardest decisions I've ever had to make and although in my heart I know I'm doing the right thing, I feel so bad.
Instead of a picture, I thought I'd post this poem;
When God had made the earth and sky,
The flowers and the trees.
He then made all the animals,
The fish, the birds and bees.
And when at last He'd finished,
Not one was quite the same.
He said, "I'll walk this world of mine,
And give each one a name."
And so He traveled far and wide
And everywhere He went,
A little creature followed Him
Until its strength was spent.
When all were named upon the earth
And in the sky and sea,
The little creature said, "Dear Lord,
There's not one left for me."
Kindly the Father said to him,
"I've left you to the end.
've turned my own name back to front
And called you dog, my friend."

Loved The Green Mile film, but after what you said I may well have to read it too. Have more than 30 of his books so OH won't notice another
My favourites were 2 short stories from Skeleton Crew, The Jaunt and Survivor Type. The Jaunt always creeped me out, just how long was it in there0 -
