yes but as already been stated, its a little differant if you purchase online to purchasing in store

to be honest i dont know why they are being so difficult, i had a bit of bother trying to get a cable switched a while back.

just keep at it, i'v always got there in the end with them.

why should they dicrimenate between an faulty instore purchase from a faulty online purchase ??? If it's faulty more or less straight out of the box, then same T&C applies , exchange or refund

and If they try to pull the old 'We need to take it away to check it " m'larky , they will be told , "No, I'm, prepared to wait until you've check it out in store"

There May be a battle cos of their previous history-for having battles when they are in the wrong.

And because, as posters on this site who are current or previous employees of Currys/Comet have proven, what they're trained in and what the law says are two completely different things, and in many cases their only possible response, whether through ignorance or fear is to follow what their bosses have told them to say.

So be prepared for a battle, but keep calm and state your case clearly, because it's less stressful to get it done under their terms (they may just give you a refund immediately when you show it's faulty) rather than resort to the law as a first resort.

I am sorry to read about your dissatisfaction with your recently purchased Polaroid FLU-3232 LCD TV

The Polaroid FLU-3232 has attracted numerous positive reviews and has excellent review 'scores'. Many thousands of this TV model have been sold in the UK and 100K+ units of this or similar sister units have been sold throughout the globe, which certainly proves it is fit for purpose.

Polaroid recommendations for optimum sound performance are:

* For best results use a home cinema sound system:-

Either:

Connect via a DVD player or a cable / satellite provider box directly - Turn sound on TV down to minimum

Or

Connect to the Ear-phone jack connection (audio-out) with 2 RC connectors to the audio in the Cinema set. The audio signal of the TV will be blocked.

* For the best sound possible using the in-built speaker system - customers should set the sound preset to Dance and the Bass setting to 100.

If you are still not satisfied with this product you will have to take up this issue with your retailer.

Not too impressed by their reply , almost implying I'm the only person to have a problem with the TV !

well got full refund , after the manager got involved. The 1st guy we dealt with , did say he noticed a slight improvement with the sound quality if he 'mucked around' with the sound settings ,this was using a standard tv ariel. Told him that wasn't acceptable , so manager came over had a listen , he agreed the sound was bad but could be made better with adjustments. I told him would he be happy watching TV having to adjust the sound dependant on a) what channel he was watching and b) what program was being shown ? He agreed and told us there would be no problem with a refund/exhange , no mention of the 90% m'larky. It was only when I asked the manager his name that I realised it was the same guy I had spoke to earlier in the week !!

Another funny thing on the way out , the guy helpping us with the TV into my car commented on our new TV (a LG 32LX2R !!!!) , we told him it was a replacment for a Polaroid and he said " yip , we've had a few people return these complaining about the crap sound "

oh well , got the issue resolved without causing a scene

I have bought a laptop from currys on finance had it 24 days and it is a very slow laptop the sales person says it would be very fast im not happy at all as it cost me 379.99 what shall i do?
