    You misunderstand.i think you are right,but they know you cant prove it.If you cant convince them,and you had to go to court,several of your friends agreeing would not be proof.

    consumer direct were very very helpful the told us to reject the contract with currys and demand the full refund. So will call them 1st thing in the morning and see what they have to say about it

    if you have already told the sales assistant that you have instaled it,then pack it up and take it into a different currys shop and say this is more conveinent shop to bring it back to

    But they will be able to see that its been opened. Unless you can seal all of the packets that the leads came in and etc.

    The reason they do this is because they cant sell it at full price if its been used / opened.

    Have you thought about contacting the manufacturer and telling them how useless their tv is? You may get something from there.

  • You would have to use it to know it is not of satisfactory quality.

    A camera, for example, would have to have had a film run through it before you could tell the quality, similarly, a tv would have had to be watched.

    Stand your ground and you will get a refund or exchange if you so wish. The 10% is bo*****s

    yes this was all explained to me , but then how was I supposed to know the sound was of poor quality without opening the TV up and using it ???????

    and besides it's not my fault they are selling poor quality tvs , so why should I lose money because of that ?
