Well done AJolly! Result!
I've just received a couple of large cheques and can't wait for them to clear so I can pay some off debts. However I only have one more invoice outstanding, for £107, so I need to get on and work hard this month.
I've booked a slot at a carboot sale on 30 July. It's not a regular carboot but a one-off in a pub near here and I have a hunch it will be a better place to sell than the carboot sale I've done before. Just hoping the weather will be OK as I have paid my £5 pitch fee upfront.

Good luck with your car boot. I dont have a car at the moment so car boots are out of the question unless i can get a friend to come along to one and use their car. Ive been thinking of using ebay but ive had bad experiance of people messing me around and not paying then im stuck with the sellers fee's which are far too high in my opinion.Total Debts - £11,205.92

Please could I join in? I would like to reduce my debt by £7k between now and Christmas Eve - my Xmas present!
I hope to do it by ebaying, amazon, Match Betting, budgeting and being frugal! My current debt stands at about £24k and I am paying £500 a month off the debts any how so I need to try and raise £4k an alternative way  but it will set me a real goal.
This thread is very inspirational!0 -
Hi there
I'm quite new to MSE and I have just a little over £6200 in debts. I'll join you in trying to clear it before Xmas 2007 (nobody I know will be gettting any good presents this year).
No idea how I will do it yet as my origiinal DFD was July 2008 (and I thought that was tight) but I'll do my best and I have nothing to lose.
So by my calculations I need to pay off £1033.50 per month

Hi All,
Now I have sorted this new car out I have another £800 to clear off my target which will leave me in plus figures so I am upping my challenge from £1000 to £2000. Only a little increase though as I am on maternity for 3 months and won't be able to clear much during this time.
I have changed my signature to reflect this.
Good luck to everyone else in their challenges.

Well I joined the thread this afternoon with the intention of getting rid of £7k between now and Xmas Eve - and I have cleared £1020 already :j :j
Got home to a letter from the Bank who have confirmed they are going to refund my charges, so now my outstanding goal is £5980. I hope I can do it!:T0 -
I am going to do some letters claiming stuff today - they should have been done a long time ago, but this challenge is giving me the kick that I need.
Will post later to let you know that they are done............or not!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
I only have £25 worth of charges to reclaim from HSBC and they are taking their time about it!
So this isn't really the way to go for me.
I am gathering stuff to do a carboot this weekend and still searching for a part time job.
So far I have paid off £0 to my debt but it is still early days.Don't ever be anybody's slogan because you are poetry
