Wonga are not very professional

You must be mad to use Wonga just to bring forward non-essential expenditure.
I used a code to knock out most of the charges and less than a weeks interest was potentially worth getting something early
I guess there are many people like me that are impatient waiting for payday and could really wait, but that's not my argument.0 -

Could you not have just got a credit card? Buying something and then paying the balance off within a month is really what a credit card is for. That would have charged you nothing0 -

I didn't consider my comment rude.
I thought it was pretty good advice for someone who applies for a loan for 'non-essential expenditure' as he is too 'impatient waiting for payday'.
That's the start of a slippery slope.
And yes - maybe not everyone is financially prudent but there's been enough coverage in the media about these companies that anyone who doesn't really, really need to take one out should have more sense.
From the main MSE website (the bolding and red type is mine):Need some quick and easy cash? A payday loan feels easy, but this short term high cost credit can get you into an expensive nightmare of trouble – risking scarring your finances and leaving you repaying many times more than you borrowed.
We don't like payday loans. Most people who get them shouldn't. Yet if you're considering one, we want to ensure you can protect yourself. The first step is to consider cheaper alternatives. If that fails, we'll take you through the least nasty of a bad bunch.
Maybe the OP would learn something if he read a few of the threads on the Debt-free wannabe as well as what Martin says about payday loans.
I'm sure you'll consider these comments rude too - but they aren't.
They're realistic.0 -
What a shocking thing to admit on a money-saving website!
I think you need a great big dollop of common sense and some serious financial training.
Quite funny comment as I am not seeking money advice.
Only been on MSE for a few days and didn't take long before somebody has stuck their big boot in!0 -

Does it make your day to act in this manner. I am merely venting rather than seeking money advice.0
