Wonga are not very professional

I applied for a loan at the weekend & am still awaiting a referred decision!

The most crazy thing is that I would be paying it back this weekend so it would be madness for them to continue considering my application.

I asked them to stop processing my application but their email system is woeful and am getting nowhere.

    How inept!

Finally I get a generic email saying they are taking longer than expected but they normally take the same day or next day for a decision.

Pointless, don't they realise I only wanted the loan for less than a week so why are they bothering now!

How is this going to affect my credit files?

Maybe not being professional would be giving a loan without carrying out the checks that the person might be able to pay it back.

The effect on your credit file would be the same if they gave the loan wiothin an hour or after a few days.
loose does not rhyme with choose but lose does and is the word you meant to write.

I am not complaining about them checking my status, just the fact they have poorly administered it.

A decision now to lend this late is totally nuts!

They have wasted my time and potentially harmed my credit file with the search etc. (I wouldn't have bothered to apply if I knew it would be this much of a pain)

You should be thanking them, they have done you a huge favour.
    Be happy...;)
  • I used wonga once, and the experience was good for what it was...

That being said, I'm never using them or any other payday lenders ever again.

You dodged a bullet! Right now, you'd be forking out an extra £25+ which you can now put into a savings account as a buffer to make sure you never need a PDL again!

I was just bringing forward non-essential expenditure in lieu of money being deposited in my bank.
  • It is an online system.

Like most online system it is great when it works and rather untidy when it doesn't

People should know the other-side of their slick marketing, they are about making a fast buck and sod the customer service.
