    Good afternoon everybody,
Molly ,hope your Dad is ok,sending you hugs.
dp1-hope DD has a good day at school.
TTFTM-so sorry its bad news on the job front, very stressful.Have a (((hug.)))

I'm snatching a minute on here while Lyla is asleep>Phew I'd really forgotten what hard work pups are.Complete pee & poop machines :D Thank you all for your nice comments, she is pretty cute at the moment ;).My niece and DGN have been to 'view' this morning.DGN at 2 1/2 is a real livewire now and she hid in her bed for a while, but got her own back by barking at a toy ,made DGN jump and he started crying. His mummy said he had to be gentle and calm down a bit :D They both had a cuddle with each other after.

DGD made an unexpected visit yesterday as her Mum rang and said she wanted Daddy, and go to Grans house. She's been away in Spain and she hasnt seen us for a week bless :) She's got out of nappies while she's been away and looked very grown up.She was entranced by Lyla,DS recording and taking pics for all he was worth. She is more used to dogs than DGN,they have 1 at home and Grandma has 2 Labs. She had a rash last night, and her Mum has rung to say its got worse and could be chickenpox, waiting for the doctors verdict.

Made some soup yesterday with the chicken carcass,I was going to do minestrone till I discovered a lack of tinned toms.Had a root around the cupboards and found a jar from M n S for Tom yum soup so bunged that in instead.Need to freeze some.We had pasta bake for tea-I had to rearrange my plan because I hadnt enough once DS said DGD and his DF were coming for tea.Anyway we shall have tonight what we were going to have last night, chicken curry so thats easy. I might do an internet shop this week for ease.

Right better go and do something.Well wishes to everybody who is poorly/op recoverers.

That's what the red button's for.;) I only have a basic (talk, text and take photos) mobile - I wouldn't bother at all, but Mr LW insists I have it, for safety reasons, so if I get in difficulties dog walking, f'r instance, I can summon help. Well done, though - you're doing better than me, cos I'm not even on FB.:rotfl:

It always goes tits up when you least need it. My Dad has just been rushed into hospital with heart problems and my Mum is disabled. Hubby has gone across to see what is going on but Im stuck here with this wretched bolt stuck in my head. Oh God .........it never rains but it pours and thunders and lightening.
(((HUG))) sweetie, there's nothing you can do from your horse-piddle bed; I know it's hard, but try not to fret, and let DH handle it. You concentrate on regaining your strength, that's the best course of action for you at this point.
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

Not managed to post for a while RL getting in the way, now back at work, working with a new teacher who seems quite strict which is good. Ds2 is going to sea cadets tonight, he is 13 and wants to eventually join the navy all being well, not sure if he can due to his diagnosis of ADD. He may change his mind before then though.

Os today am on and hung out on line. Dw emptied. Decided to do a bit of gardening while the weather is glorious, housework can wait.

Molly - huge ((hugs)) thinking of you, hope you soon get back home and hope your dad is ok.

Rosy - lyla is so cute.
Ttfm - sorry to hear of the stress surrounding your job.

Hugs to any that needs/wants one. Take care and enjoy the rest of your day
  • Hello everyone. I am new to mse even though I have been reading for the last week or so. I hope you dont mind if I join in as you all seem such a friendly bunch.
I am a single mum of 3, the eldest going off to Uni for his first year a week on Sat. Am very nervous for him. I have another son who started 6th form today and a daughter who has started year 11 today.I also have 2 dogs , a 5 year old rottie and a 5 month old staffy cross.
I have fibromyalgia and like most have good days and bad.
I like to think that I am fairly old style, rarely use ready made jars, like to bake when I can, cook from scratch most days. Don't do takeaways, far to expensive for my liking, however ds2 has just started a evening job in a chippy so the odd takeaway may appear.
I lead quite a quiet life in reality, don't really have many friends , like to keep myself to myself . Too many nosy neighbours. However I look forward to joining in with your daily thread and picking up lots of tips and advice along the way xx

Awww I remember my first gong off to Uni, although it was a good few years ago now, I remember it well. Is your son going to be living away from home? Don't worry - he will love it!

  • Afternoon all
Molly, hugs, take care of yourself. TTFM hugs.
    Welcome to the newbies.
Mr T delivered and mostly put away, I ordered 2 dresses from Bon Marche, £10 each, they arrived earlier and fit just fine, so I have something to wear when I can go back to work.
DD came over to bring hubby a b'day card and left it at home, she'll pop over tomorrow with it, lol.
    Have a good afternoon all
    Hugs Hester
    Chin up, Titus out.

Hi bususcoming2, yes he will be living in halls, he is going to Birmingham Uni. Have spent the summer making sure he knows how to cook some meals, use a washing machine, an iron etc. Daft really as I know he knows how to do all those things . Suppose it is just my way of being useful.
