It always goes tits up when you least need it. My Dad has just been rushed into hospital with heart problems and my Mum is disabled. Hubby has gone across to see what is going on but Im stuck here with this wretched bolt stuck in my head. Oh God .........it never rains but it pours and thunders and lightening.
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.
  • Morning all
Fish fed, porridge made & eaten, hubby's gone to work.

Molly, I hope you are continuing to recover.

I overdid it yesterday, I did a load of washing and hung it out, loaded and unloaded the DW, I emptied my wardrobe, sorted a pile of paperwork and cooked tea. I was in bed and asleep by 8:30, so knackered I even refused hubby's offer of some hestering! In reality I did very little, but it was enough to wear me out.

Today's plans include taking delivery of a Mr T shop, unloading the DW and cooking tea and that's it, well apart from reading One Hundred Names by Celia Ahearn, a work colleague gave it to hubby yesterday for me, fortunately the print is big enough for me to read in daylight.

    Have a good day everyone.

    Morning all,

Everything crossed for you and yours, Molly.

    Sending positive vibes to TTFTM.

Dentist this morning, then sorting out things to put on eBay - I've avoided it for too long but now I have the time needed. My mother dropped in yesterday and went away with a big bag of clothes, she will then sort through her wardrobe and donate to the CS.

DH was unwell in the night - he's still waiting for his "urgent" heart appointment. He must be feeling bad as he isn't going in to work. As it is a desk job and there's a lift so he can normally manage fine.

Dinner tonight is a freezer lucky dip as it is still not empty.

Have the best day you can x

    Morning all,

Beautiful day here, no washing to do seems like such a waste :rotfl:. DD and I are off to Portsmouth for the day, she needs some bits and bobs for uni, and I could do with some new t-shirts.

Dinner tonight will be breaded chicken chips and peas so nice and easy when we get in.

Need to empty the dw before we go and have a tidy round.

    Have good days all xx

    Morning all.
Molly-that's just typical, isn't it? Try not to stress too much, you need to rest up.
Camelot-I heard the lad's mother on the radio yesterday making an appeal, could have wept along with her, so distressed, hope he is found safe and well.
Still coughing and spluttering, seriously fed up with it now!
My mum's cousin has passed away, in strangely similar circumstances to OH, its scary!
Right, better get dressed, plan a quick run into town, then sorting out the holiday clothes.
    Have a good day all

Morning everyone....just having a browse before work. ..started back yesterday.
Feeling very anxious today as youngest DD has started back at school. Some of you may remember she has chronic fatigue syndrome and has hardly been at school since Xmas and not at all since May. We saw the consultant on Tuesday and he thinks she's a bit better, so she's trying and will just see how she manages. School has already said they'll reduce her timetable as soon, or if, she starts feeling too tired. She is so worried about going back as it's been so long since she was there and she obviously remembers how exhausted she felt a few months ago.
So fingers crossed she's ok, and comes home with a smile....
  • Hi Chums all the boys are back to school now and I am enjoying a bit of 'me' time.I love the bones off them but now and again its just nice to sit and do absolutely nothing for a change :):)Right enough of that lazing about I'd better go and let the dogs out for Dd and find out how son-in-law got on at his interview this morning .he is after a new job as the travelling to Asford everyday is a real pain at times with the traffice. The new job is a lot closer so less fuel involved and shorter hours as well.Fingers crossed for him.
    Cheers chums

    Afternoon,
    Hugs and hi to all!

Really must make a point of checking on here daily for all the tips!
Had a busy week with more bits and pieces done to the flat and appointments made for safety certs and EPC etc It's all going a bit too smoothly, waiting for the speedbump to hit!

Have a charity quiz with work tonight and they will be having a buffet but still need to go home to feed the OH. Chilli out of the freezer so he can have nachos.
Will need to put a load of washing on once I get home and do the ironing while I sleep!

Hope you're all having a good day xx
  • Good afternoon everyone :)

I was convinced I had posted here earlier but clearly not.

DD had had some more surgery on her finger and now has a small skin graft covering it. Hope this one works for her. I sat in the hospital and read The Hare with the Amber Eyes which I bought at Saturday's car boot sale for 20p.

DH is working until 9pm tonight doing adult enrolment at college so no dinner to cook and I am in real CBA mode and have been eating peanut butter straight from the jar to avoid making myself some lunch :o

Hi and welcome to Busiscoming2 :hello:

Molly - I hope your dad is ok and Jools - really sorry to hear about your mum's cousin.

Off to find something I can eat and try and liven up my apathetic attitude. As Snoopy once said, or it may have been Charlie Brown "There's too much apathy in the world today but then who cares". I do care and I will shake myself out of this!

Well wishes for all sick people and pets and hugs for anyone who needs them or just wants them. Keep well and safe and have a super day :)
