If you want to do some practice at home, I can highly recommend this yoga dvd http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B004AHOECY/ref=oh_details_o06_s03_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 it works up in stages through the DVD's. I was only on the first DVD before baby, hoping to get back into it when she's here. Although I'm rubbish with the upper body strength bit too, she had us trying to lift our bodies with our arms in one of the classes before rock climbing and I just couldn't do it at all :(

ETA: this is the pose she tried to get us to do! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eXLWMHANqlw

  • Google 'crane pose' and 'warrior 3 pose' and these are the two I crumbled on. I thought they were so hard! Perhaps I'm just not very good :/

I've got dvds but none are as advanced as this perhaps I should get them out though and practise what is on there! Everything is hurting right now :(

defo get on the DVDs the more you practice the stronger your muscles get. I think I can do Warrior 3, I just could never do the ruddy crane too hard. can't even attempt it now due to baby. I am determined to master it when she's here though. I might go see if I can try warrior 3 though, doubt that's bad for bubba

Ok I just tried and I almost fell over too. I think you need to just practice toe off the floor a little bit first to keep the balance, then gradually raise the back leg. Think I toppled more due to bump putting me off balance, that's the excuse I'm sticking to anyway :D

  • Yesterday was a nsd, today won't be as i've bought something from fb :o....I waited in all day the other day (aside from school runs) for a parcel, it ended up being late (by a day rather than just 10 mins ) and it was my duvets. they've sent me the wrong ones so i have emailed them to see what is up with that.... I've also had a blue card through the door for another delivery, but i'm not due anything else that I can think of??? Unless i've somehow managed to spend money without realising it :o and forgotten about an order I can't think for the life of me what it is? I called up to get a redelivery as it needs a signature. They won't leave it with a neighbour either? So i've opted for Weds as i'm out all day Monday on my NHS health matters course and also out most of Tuesday. So I hope the delivery now comes when i'm in and not on the school run times :(! I'm very curious to see what it is too :o:rotfl:

I'm in agony after my yoga on Friday and I received a text from my teacher last night asking if I was feeling a tad exhausted afterwards :rotfl: Ummmmm just slightly . She said my posture was good and my poses were strong and that I should keep up the good determination :T I thought I was going to get a telling off so that was a *phew* moment :D. I can't make the next two classes so I have opted to change to Tuesday night but i'm not sure if I am going to have energy if i'm honest :o I do my bike ride on a Tuesday morning which is between 6-10 miles (depending on ability of group that week) and then I can barely walk after that, although saying that last week I was fine because I was on my own (comfy seated) bike, so perhaps i'll be ok. 8-9.30 session for yoga though. I'm usually in bed for 10pm :rotfl:should be interesting.....

No tenancy money through yet. DH gave me £100 less than agreed for the budget (surprised anyone, at either of these??) so I am watching every penny atm. I've got tonnes of food in atm, so hoping to stretch doing the shopping to Tuesday, but will have to wait and see. I need potatoes and that's it so I may just pop out and get those today and some more milk and a few bits of veg and I could possibly stretch the rest till the weekend then with some effort  will have a look in cupboards and see how likely this is later :)

Anyway I ramble on and on so I'll leave it at that :D Will try and catch up with some of you later, been so busy as DH has been sleeping at work as he's been on all night duty as a punishment (for missing a medical appointment, that he tried for a whole week to change but they never answered their phones )!

Anyway (again) bye for now ;)

Sounds like you've had a busy couple of days, as always ;). Not sure I get the whole husband "giving" you money for the budget but everyone has different methods, I suppose.

Well i basically pay for everything out of my account and this includes paying into all the savings accounts (for car, xmas, ISA etc) and he roughly gets paid £1600 a month so we've agreed on £1400 in the budget (which i sort out) so he gives me the money (supposedly) on pay day, and yet every month there is always an excuse. Shame really as it's the saving for the house fund that suffers as I have to drop down the amount I was going to pay into it :(. He's in the forces so always away and has never dealt with the household budget as he's too busy. He's happy to hand over the responsibility of it but not happy to pay in what was agreed. I don't think we could do the 50/50 responsibility of it as tbh he's never here to do it. Just this last week he's spent half the week sleeping in camp.

Mrs. K. and I had merged finances since before we married (when we rented our first house together). Neither of us has had our own bank account since! :rotfl: My comment was not a criticism, I am purely interested in how others deal with finances (as I'm new to all of this and wondering if there is one way that is better than another).
