What a mental day. Easter hols begin now for me, so I will rival you for manic child juggling with housework and decluttering/spring cleaning. I might even manage to paint a couple of rooms this easter :)

Pizza sounds fab. I had homemade tomato and red pepper sauce over pasta with chopped chorizo and a sprinkle of cheese. Even Jellytot eats that! (no cheese ) so easy and just what is needed after a mental week at work draws to a close.

I get to go to ald1 next week :j:j :D:D my daddy will drive me!

Am already in bed though ;) hope you have a more relaxed day tomorrow. With no mad hoovering to play with the new toy ;) xx

Ah I'm so glad I can drive otherwise i'd have to get online deliveries or frequent the local Co-op or budgens....neither of which are very :money:! Good luck with the manic holiday :rotfl: I've worn myself out in the first week haha :o:D....p.s your dinner sounded yummier than mine! I actually don't like pizza but always get outvoted when I say let's have a ratatouille :rotfl:

  • Good Morning! Good Friday Morning :easter_os:easter: So because it's Easter Friday I assumed the bins wouldn't be collected today. My mistake because I was opening the kids bedroom curtains and the bin lorry was just pulling onto our street  Cue panic from me and me running out in the rain in pjs and wellies to flag the lorry down so they could take my bin bags :rotfl: Thank goodness they stopped (whilst laughing at the state of me ) and helped me get the bins out from behind the shed :) I had 7 of them too so very glad they came! I usually only have one but what with throwing out old broken toys etc from my clearout I had loads....one had a cross bow clearly poking out of it :o Luckily they took it although I have a feeling they may have opened that one and kept it as he was eyeing it up :rotfl: it was probably worth selling but it had been in my shed for 3 years since the old old neighbour gave it to us and ds1 or dh never used it (thankfully I can just imagine them hurting themselves and nothing else!).

So after the mad rush I come in to ds2 deciding to use the grill on the cooker himself :wall: and had to remove him from the kitchen whilst promising he could have his hot cross buns for breakfast that he'd started making .

I finally got to sit down when ds1 brought me 3 GCSE Geography papers he'd done with an answers paper for me to mark. I didn't have a clue what I was doing but tried my best and as he was my son I gave him extra marks :D he told me that defeated the point of him doing it though:think: :rotfl:

I haven't moved since then aside from to make a cup of tea and I intend on not doing very much today, although I know what i'm like if I get bored I will probably end up kondo-ing another cupboard :rotfl:

Oh speaking of which I made a start on my clothes last night! I have half the wardrobe, in fact scrap that I have about a third of the wardrobe as DH's uniform takes up so much space  and I can never find anything I want to wear so I basically wear exactly the same thing every day. Jeggings/jeans/leggings with layered tops or a skirt with wool tights/top/sweaters. So I got rid of the stuff that doesn't look good on me, regardless of what it looks like on the mannequins :( and I got rid of the stuff with holes (my favs but let's face it I look like a tramp :rotfl:) and stuff with bleach on it. And I got rid of my skinny jeans which I paid lots for but are uncomfy as I have skinny legs and a fat tummy (:( ) and I have hung up lots of my favourite tops that are usually screwed up in my drawers ( I have a tall boy as well as the 1/3 of a wardrobe and also 4 drawers (small) in a shared dresser with DH (He has the large 4 drawers) .....Anyway after my cull, I came to the conclusion that I didn't have an awful lot to get rid of because I am always culling my drawers and wardrobe because I don't have much space. It is DH who needs to have a clearout and yet he's always loathe to do it and then I end up giving him even more of my cupboard spaces . I do need to fold my stuff in an order so I can find it easily but I don't have a lot of clothes so that was pretty easy to do. In fact if anything I think I need to buy more clothes because i've gone without replacing items for so long (and now i've thrown all the old tatty stuff away I have even less :rotfl:)

I'd like to do my shoes next but the bottom of my wardrobe is a whole other story (read that as hoarding problem on a huge scale as that's where everything is thrown that doesn't have a home :o...extra duvets. shoes. wrapping paper. present box. ETC!) So if I do get get bored today I may attempt that next ;)

Should be a NSD but I may have a browse online for some replacement jeggings and vest tops (that have all made the tatty pile because they are probably 5 years old and been worn to death :rotfl:)

Hope everyone is having a good day so far :T:)

  • Just had a cold caller at the door, Sheesh they get pushier and pushier don't they! The dog escaped past my leg and started kissing and jumping all over the two men (thank god they liked dogs :o ) He is an absolute nightmare and made it worse when I said no you can't come in as they'd made best buddies with the dog by this point (ruddy dog  ) but they were stood there going "we'd kill for a cuppa" "it is rather cold out here " I felt awful sending them away but #1 I already support 3 charities every month as well as sending things to the local (ish) guy who goes out giving sleeping bags to homeless people (the sleeping bag appeal on FB if anyone is interested. Lovely guy and you see where your stuff is going, :A what an angel he is ) and to be honest I didn't want to add another to my list :o #2 the kids have made a huge mess of the front room (making a den) and the kitchen is NO better :o. Oh I feel so bad, wish i'd never answered the door now!

So I was, before being interrupted, browsing a few sites for clothes. I am struggling to part with money to buy them though :o I think £30 is a lot of money for jeggings, and £20 a lot for a top :o Am I just out of touch??? I know you get a bit of cashback but nothing major.......No wonder I don't have many new clothes :rotfl: most of my wardrobe is made up of George, TU, charity shop bargains, H&M :o however these obviously weren't good options because they are I guess what's called a false economy because they need replacing so often  I will keep browsing and perhaps I can find something nearer to my budget but good quality too....!

So I ordered some clothes, should get 16% cashback and I got 10% off for being a new customer too.:T

I ordered a denim jacket (as I don't actually own any spring jackets, I go from thermal insulated winter coat to summer rain mac and that's all I have :o) I also got some new pumps, two jumpers as I just threw the old tatty ones out which had holes all over them (teach me for buying from primarni and expecting it to last :rotfl:) .

I still haven't found any jeggings or jeans I like :(. So need some of those and I should be done :). I just hope what i've ordered fits now as i'm in between sizes and have an awkward shape. I was good though I put several more items into my basket but I went upstairs with the laptop and viewed what I already had hanging up and in drawers and what would go nicely with what I was going to order. I took out the dress, 2 tops (I have plenty of these it seems only i've only just realised it as they were so screwed up and hidden in my drawers ) and a few other bits that weren't really "needed"! Oh I do feel angelic for being good :A I just hope the cashback tracks now to bring the cost down even more because i've just shelled out £107 otherwise :eek:

Not done much else today as it's taken me ages to do that :o think I will go tidy a little as the DW needs emptying and refilling and I need to hang some curtains that were washed. Kids are watching horrid henry on the tv so whilst they're distracted would be a good time to sneak away ;)

ETA: I ordered the same jeggings as I already have from George, they fit pretty well but I ordered a size up as they aren't all that stretchy around the waist ....they look good on (my ones are all holey hence me wanting new ones...they've lasted a good year though :T so for £12 I'm happy with that I wear them nearly every day!) I have ordered 3 different colours for a bit of variation. If they are too big though i'll have to exchange for smaller sizes. Thought I may as well order online though as quid co are doing 3% CB on orderd :T ......That's me all spent out on the clothing budget for 4 months :rotfl: so i'm off to do that cleaning I said i'd do!

    Hey mrs!!!

I bought my newest jeggings (black) from Mr S Tu. £12.50 and so comfy, soft on my waist which is also a bit squidgy ;) and very hard wearing considering what I put them through - I also found dark stonewash jeggings on the giant clearance Sp0rt D1rect are having online... Think I paid £11.49 or something for some that should have been £30 :T and they are branded...

Cold callers... - Thank goodness I don't get them any more since they put a lock on our front door. But seriously pushy. I would be like... sorry but theres a cafe down the road! Don't go outside when it is cold if you're just going to complain :rotfl:

Well done on the clear out of the wardrobe. I did the precise same thing. Once I started I realised I owned about 6 items I would be keeping and had to replace the whole wardrobe :p spent a fortune but it brings me such *joy* and I can dress nicely without a glance past the first thing on top of the pile..

Manic holiday started horrifically this morning. What a day already! :o:o:o xx

Thanks for that I've just looked on Sp0rts D^rect and found the jeggings and ordered some :) also found a white cardi that I had been looking for and not found anywhere else (ahem and also added a few other things :o) I will wait until I get everything and try it all on and send back what doesn't fit/look good :T so for now I have spent waaaaaaaaay too much but I have sort of ordered duplicates from two places to see which is best (Spends atm are around £200  hoping to send back at least £50 worth and I have £150 in the clothing fund anyway :T)

I will pop over to your diary in a bit to see what you mean :rotfl:

  • So I kond-ed my entire bedroom :rotfl: I knew i'd get bored sat in one place for too long :rotfl: so my wardrobe is clutter-free until dh gets home. He is so messy and hoards everything so I need to get him to sort through his stuff. I folded everything in my drawers how she suggests and I have one whole spare drawer and one that only has 2 things in . Have sorted through the shoes and kept what I love and thrown out things that hurt when I wear them or are just plain ugly (what was I thinking sort of purchase!!) The only drawer I forgot about was my pj drawer but there isn't much in there if i'm honest :T

Whilst I was decluttering the wardrobe I found a duvet to throw out, also found one to keep. A bedside table :o which is now out of the wardrobe and DH's side of the bed (to be filled with clutter no doubt!) and around 20 pairs of shoes and boots. Most of which I hadn't worn but didn't want to part with as i'd bought them and not worn them so felt inclined to keep them in case I ever changed my mind on them :rotfl: Also found some books for presents so I might gift those to the girl whose party DD is invited to at the end of the month :D.

I have lots for charity/selling but i'm wondering if I can actually be bothered to sell them :o:o it means keeping them in my house for gawd knows how long until they do sell. I might just let the charity shop have a field day over them!

Dinner's done- pork chops & veg. Made some yummy apple sauce to go with it too :T so kids are fed and ready for bed and i'm going to jump in the bath :D:D

Hooray for kondo-ing!! I bought her book on apple with a voucher my mum had sent me for xmas and I have been trying to use and failing miserably! Am loving it so far. She is very sensible.

Loving that you had a bedside table in your wardrobe :rotfl:

I am the same with the stuff for selling. I am about ready to just throw it away

Enjoy your bath, am jealous! xx

Had a lovely bath :heart2: I feel lovely and clean now :rotfl: I hate decluttering on a large scale because I always feel dirty afterwards, even though there was surprisingly little dust in the cupboard (don't know how!!)

I had totally forgotten about the bedside cabinet :rotfl: I am sure I put it away in the first place to stop the place looking cluttered :rotfl::whistle: however now it's back out it looks ok because i've gotten rid of so much other stuff :T_party_ I also got rid of two ornaments my mum had given me. I really don't like them much but felt guilty throwing them out. She'll never know....... :shhh::whistle: So I am sat in bed after the bath because it's lovely and clean in here (ds2 polished for me whilst I hoovered :T) and also because the front room is FILLED with black bags to sort through for selling/chucking out :o I managed 3 large bin bags from my drawers and wardrobe today. Oops. I'm hoping all this effort will pay off when I come to move and I can pack the house up in two days :rotfl: Oh and bonus...I found some galaxy caramel whilst cleaning :T

P.s please let me know if the book is good! I have joined a good FB page where I have got lots of inspiration and ideas from peoples pictures :)
