  • Another late arrival here to say CONGRATULATIONS on debt free-ness! Sounds like you're settling in well too, and that's a great idea on the diet too. Another one here who lost a Nan to alzheimers - truly horrible.

Not TOO straight and narrow - you need to keep some curves ;). Lovely idea :T.

No chance of being too straight and narrow I'm afraid. That's why I have to have a very good incentive to diet;) I love my food just a little too much:D

I'm sorry about you losing your Nan too. Alzheimersis awful, you lose a person long before they die. Heartbreaking to watch the person you love disappear.

Everytime I came on here to post yesterday the internet connection was down  The broadband supplier have been very good at keeping me updated though. Apparently it's a fault on the telephone line and the case has been passed on to BT. They hope to have it fixed by Saturday. Fingers crossed.

The printer power cable has disappeared. Vanished. Lost. Abducted by aliens. I'm going to have to buy another one. The original printer cable will then miraculously reappear....

I'm now back at work on the evening shift, my least favourite shift. However, it does give me all day to carry on sorting out here. Today my new bookcase is due to arrive:TThis is the one big expenditure I have allowed myself. Once the books and bits and pieces are up, it will definitely feel like home. Having said that, the small expenses are mounting up. Had to do another DIY shop yesterday for screws and picture wire. DS2 has built a shelf stacking system in the shed which looks great, he rightly points out there is room for another one and it would be foolish not to put one in. That will be a Sunday job. He has done a great job on the broom cupboard nothing on the floor except the vacuum cleaner. He's also hung a few pictures and a chandelier :T The stick-on hooks I put on the bedroom and bathroom doors fell off as soon as I hung something on them :rotfl:

Diet is going well, as to it's effectiveness only the scales will tell. I have a curried chickpea soup in the slow cooker at the moment, smells divine :)

    Bookcase just arrived:j:j:j Back soon

Nothing like getting your books arranged in their new home! If they are anything like my books they will be breeding again in no time.
No more stick on hooks for me - they always fall off in the night and frighten me half to death!!!
  • Happy new bookcase long may you enjoy it!

Laughed (sorry) at the towel hooks on the doors - ours fell off too.

    Hope you're cosy and warm!
