Hello again Piq, thanks for asking, my arthritis is so-so, but I am looking forward to more equine stories.
Chucking feed buckets... Our former racehorse's dad used to like picking up a rake in his teeth to help with mucking out, knowing Rummy he probably would do that as well, as he is a cheeky spark.
It remains to be seen if his niece and nephew, our future racehorses, have any such funny traits, though probably they will - their Dad has all sorts of little tricks that he does. One of which is showing just exactly where he would like to be scratched - his leg goes up and twitches in ecstasy just as a dog's does. It's cute, you can't do that with many stallions.Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.0 -
Have just spent time catching up on the goings on @ Chez Piq, I'd forgotten how much joy hearing about the antics of Colin etc brings me.
For some reason the bucket chucking had me snorting with giggles

:jfab that the boys are back in town :j. Sounds like they have really settled in already and you are all getting your routines sorted [including Colin!]. Enjoy0

Sorry for my absence - more family drama my end.
Sooo pleased to hear boys are home and it sounds like you are coping just fine and I am sure loving having them so close.
My girls have gone out now for the summer (pending any awful weather) so I can relax a bit on the mucking out story.
hope you have a nice bank holiday weekend. hopefully you are not working. Will you start up the gardening business again in the summer?0 -
Just a quickie note before work. I'm not on here much at the moment, I'm tired, stressed and afraid. All the hairy boys are fine, but my 'stalker' has started up again. I can't say anything much about it but to say the police are involved. My car has been badly damaged by this person(s) again. I'm living my life looking over my shoulder and it's stressful in the extreme. It just means I'm not very good company on here at the moment and don't want to bring everyone down so I'm staying away.
But three good things to be thankful a la lovely Greying

Congratulations alioops! And  at you bleeding all over M&S, but how very lovely of them to ring!
I collected all manner of random thoughts and questions as I read back but now can't remember any of them:rotfl: Tickled at Colin finding somewhere else to get his second breakfast - I suppose you should be grateful he's found a free source of food and is therefore saving you a bit of money :money:
Oh! And speaking of whicha daft question, but why does Colin always appear in a different font in your posts? Is it because he's super special??
Just being nosey, trying to work out if you copy and paste it or go and change the font every time you write it (and how do you remember??)
Anyway, carry on
Colin is small fonted because I found his name daft and somewhat silly for a cat when he came to live with me :rotfl:So I made it small to reflect the way I almost whisper it at the back door to call him in! I've got used to it now and am happy to bellow it out over the hills, but small fonted Colin has stuck on here:rotfl:Total debt at October 2008: £67,213.30
