So many of these threads are gigantic it will take me a month just to read through.
Hardly necessary! We're a happy bunch of friends talking life, animals with a little bit of money management thrown in to justify being on the debt free board:o Just pick up and join up from here on in, you are so very welcome!Total debt at October 2008: £67,213.30

"Wondering if she can fit on windowsill. Decides probably not

Thanks for that. I've just snorted coffee all over the keyboard at the thought of Greying perched on the windowsill looking cute for a bit of pie. Colin's bottom is overflowing the edges a bit (and will get a lot larger at this rate) hopefully Greying's bottom won't overflow too much. I estimate the windowsill at six inches wide.Total debt at October 2008: £67,213.30

No, you're quite right Aunty Vera would take you in and probably knit you a pink cardigan too :rotfl: However, you'd have to watch out for Colin taking a contract out on you. It's his Aunty Vera and there's food involved......Total debt at October 2008: £67,213.30

Love the ever opportunistic Colin...what would we do without him?? We are thinking about getting a cat in the summer...am not sure if I can manage any drama though. Reading your stories makes me remember what they can be like when they are younger....ours was so old that he was wonderfully sedate and just mooched about looking haughty
Planning to go down the allotment this week...will let you know how we get on
I had forgotten what a younger cat was like too. The Bear was old and sedate too (and a serial killer) If I was getting another one now that I'm not in debt I'd get two, either kittens or just out of kittenhood. They have company when nobody is around and are great fun to play with. I figure if I'm meant to have two now, the universe will send me another cat.
The window cleaner turned up yesterday, not to clean the windows, but to give me an armful of rhubarb from his allotmentTotal debt at October 2008: £67,213.30

The hard work Friday lunchtime shift is over:T and one more evening of work until the day shifts start next week.
I've done my first mucking out on a rainy morning and put the boys out in the field until later this afternoon. They don't seem stressed about the move at all, much to my relief. The Captain kicks the door to the stable as soon as he hears me coming down the road, thank goodness I put matting up. Noah starts kicking as I unlock the gate. I don't think he sees the point in wasting too much energy. He may be either a little brighter or lazier than the Captain, we shall watch and learn :rotfl:The one thing Noah is though, is a bucket chucker. As soon as he's finished eating he picks up his bucket and chucks it. He has no aim, it could go anywhere as long as it's over the stall guard or door that will do :rotfl:A couple of times it's gone round the corner and landed in the Captains stable meaning he has to stop eating to investigate the new bucket in case Noah has thrown him an extra breakfast, don't think that's going to happen somehow :rotfl:
Yesterday was a nsd and today will be, which is good news. I'm going to make some sweet potato and spinach frittatas in muffin tins for lunch. I can reheat one for lunch tomorrow and freeze the rest for quick lunches or suppers later on. The spinach is okay but needs using up, it doesn't keep very long unfortunately. I love it raw instead of lettuce so eat quite a bit of it during the warmer months. I must get on with a batch of cakes for work. If I could stop laughing, even for a second, i'd probably think it very odd, yet so 21st century, that my bottom (*perky* - just for future reference) was being discussed, on the world-wide wunda web, by folk not actually known to me in person..... but I can't stop laughing, so it doesn't matter :rotfl::rotfl:

Congratulations alioops! And  at you bleeding all over M&S, but how very lovely of them to ring!
I collected all manner of random thoughts and questions as I read back but now can't remember any of them:rotfl: Tickled at Colin finding somewhere else to get his second breakfast - I suppose you should be grateful he's found a free source of food and is therefore saving you a bit of money :money:
Oh! And speaking of whicha daft question, but why does Colin always appear in a different font in your posts? Is it because he's super special??
Just being nosey, trying to work out if you copy and paste it or go and change the font every time you write it (and how do you remember??)
Anyway, carry on0 -

Can I just make it very clear it was MY fat backside I was referring to, not yours Greying.

Finn is a bucket-chucker too - his is a rubber feed skip which bounces off walls in a satisfactory if sometimes somewhat surprising manner! He hasn't managed to end up wearing it like a hat yet, but I wear one day it's going to happen...0
