    Brave, Clever, Sensible Piq.

    STUPID IRRESONSIBLE TWONK MAN.

As others have said that could have ended SO MUCH WORSE!

Hopefully owner of cafe has banned owner of upstairs from EVER going in your cafe EVER again.

I feel your rage and I am also incensed that he even thought it would be OK to use your facilities, let alone leave them in an unfit/unsafe state (spilled oil etc) and Not offer to clear up HIS MESS.

I would maybe try to ask the boss (in a subtle way) whether upstairs has been banned from your domain.

Glad you're OK though, even if you did miss your favourite show.

Good grief they really do find you don't they Piq but well done for sorting it out.

I'm another that was going to suggest Hotter Shoes as they're really comfy and that's after I've had to put in my own insoles. They aren't cheap but they do last quite well and they're really light so it does feel like you're walking on air plus new customers tend to get a discount online and quidco too. Also if you can get away with trainers maybe a pair of New Balance.

Oh boy I should have been on here much earlier. I've been so tired, dozed on the sofa for much of the afternoon :o I feel like I've wasted my only day off. Still not much I can do about it now.

I've ordered some hotter shoes via Quidco. I can't spend eight hours on my feet without comfortable shoes. I've also bought a pair from Clarks, they make me walk a bit like a penguin, but they are comfortable. A decision has been made *drumroll please* If I find a comfy pair of shoes on my travels and I like them, I'm buying them there and then. I'm not going to hang about and risk losing them. It has taken three days for the agony of the original pair to wear off:( Okay so I've gone into grannydom on the shoe front, but at least I'll be comfy....

Last night at work was uncomfortable in a different manner, the club employees are clearly blaming me for the fryer incident. One of them actually asked why I told the owner as it got them into a lot of trouble. I guess the atmosphere will die down in a couple of weeks, but in the meantime it's going to be unpleasant.

PS - he should have put it in batter first. Rookie mistake. Me being a Scot and all I know these things ;).

With batter eh? That must help any obesity problems :rotfl:I'm glad I have you available as a knowledgeable northern expert :rotfl:

Glad it didn't have a worse outcome and pleased your boss reacted that way

Hope you manage to find some comfy shoes and work today passes by without incident

    Well done Piq.

That occurred to me and him obviously that's why he threw water in the boiling oil.....

    TWOT - pure and simple.

Glad you got recompensed, but I'm sure it's one of those situations that you would rather it hadn't happened in the first place..........

Just shows, 'A little knowledge is a dangerous thing', but Little knowledge is potentially catastrophic........

Hope you're diving into croissants and good coffee as I type.

Have a good day (hope you aren't working?)

    Greying

I did partake of the croissant and jolly very nice it was too :D

I'm not sure what the future holds regarding them using the kitchen. I normally cook their orders. The owner/boss will only care about the takings at the end of the day. I don't suppose they'll be using the facilities that much at the moment as I am very much Mrs Unpopular.

Yup, helps a LOT with obesity, it really does :o.
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

Well... if the club members are angry despite the fact that they could have seriously injured you -or worse - it shows the level of intelligence you are dealing with. They probably see it as amusing, that sort of person often does. Still, it's that mentality which keeps adjusting and improving the gene pool for the rest of us.
I hope work isn't TOO unpleasant and may your field be blessed with a drying wind.
