Thanks Piq, you're like a favourite Auntie

Be careful of sharing too many baked goodies with single farmer man, he might get the wrong idea. Great news that he agrees on making it a formal agreement in writing and being witnessed. Such great things coming from the move.
'sokay the farmer is quite old so shouldn't be thinking along those lines!
Good attitude to look forward. I'm very much a 'what's gone is gone' sort of person. Too much life can be wasted with the 'what if' and 'if only' way of looking at thingsTotal debt at October 2008: £67,213.30

Arrgg the new window cleaner turned up and I was only wearing my short dressing gown. It wouldn't be so bad if he wasn't the person that I chatted to last summer for a good half hour whilst not realising the buttons on my shirt had come undone!:rotfl:He must think I'm some permanently half dressed floozy:rotfl:
I've had a lovely lunch with an old customer of the coffee shop. I got one of the girls to give her my number and we arranged to meet up. Such a lovely person, the time flew and I've barely enough time to get ready for work now!
I wore what I thought were going to be comfortable new shoes for work last night only to have to take two painkillers before bed as the pain in my shins and calves was horrible. Back to comfy boots tonightand back to the drawing board on comfy summer shoes...

Oh booger to shoes...that's a real pity.
Glad you are 'remotely' pushing Mrs PG towards that claim..me too
Re the lawn mower...I am a bit of a fan of neighbours or friends sharing large items eg. power washer, lawn mower, power tools etc. why does every household have to have one when it's only needed, at most, once a week? Can you share with anyone and save yourself a chunk of cash...even if you 'rented' it it'd be cheaper. You may have something you can share (red machine...only joking) and that way the favour is returned..

Hate shoes that do that.
My favourite pair of comfy work shoes (with a heel) are from Clarks.
Now I am only 33 and usually wouldnt be seen dead in Clarks but the ones I have are very fashionable - they seem to have upped their game a lot.
The shoes I have have a cushion area so no matter how long I am on my feet my feet don't hurt.
Have you a Brantano near you? They stock Clarks and you can see a selection at a glance plus they are cheaper than in the Clarks shops.
Hope you get something sorted soon - there is nothing worse in summer than sweaty legs caused by boots:rotfl:0 -

I'm a couple of years older than you EE but i've been wearing cl@rks shoes for work since I was around 21 and on my feet all daythey do a rather nice pair of court shoes in all sorts of colours with a small heel and aren't old fashioned but not exactly high fashion either :rotfl: but comfort has always been top of my list thanks to my wide feet!

I was 33 once - a long, long time ago! Clarks shoes are so comfortable (thanks to their bungee insoles). I was always on my feet all day and hated thin, hard sole that you can feel everything through! M&S Footglove are similar, too.0

I think we might be long lost sisters!!
I have [STRIKE]fat[/STRIKE] wide feet as well and it is a nightmare to get shoes to fit.
Unfortunately I also have massive calf muscles so I struggle to get boots to fit me. I blame running long distance/sprint at school.
I am actually off to Brantano this afternoon for school shoes for DD and normal shoes for DS. I might wander in to the womens section:rotfl:0 -
They are Clarks shoes
:( They don't make my feet hurt nearly as much as they hurt my shins and calves - weird I know.
I haven't time to update as I have to go to work, but I finish early - 7:00pm so I'll pop back to update later. As well as rant about men, snickers and deep fat fryers.....Total debt at October 2008: £67,213.30
