wow wow wow... i love ice cream sticks now i usually have bounty but i picked up some skinny cow smoothie ones last week and i thought i would try them (4 ice creams for £1) today... i got to the frezzer to find mum had already eaten 3 out of a box of 4 :rotfl: anyway what i am getting at is look ~

    Food/Drink ~ Serving ~ Cals ~ Prot ~ Carb ~ Fat ~ Fibre

    Ice Cream Stick, Smoothie, Berry Blush, Skinny Cow* ~ Stick/110ml ~ 71.0 ~ 1.0 ~ 16.6 ~ 0.1 ~ 2.3
    Ice Cream Bar, Bounty, 100 Ml Bar, Mars* ~ 1 Bar/100ml ~ 278.0 ~ 3.4 ~ 24.7 ~ 18.5 ~ 0.7

I had a eating lightbulb moment about 2 1/2 months ago. Everywhere I went I seemed to see extremely overweight women. Even more overweight than me and that's saying something as I needed to lose about 6 stone :o (4 1/2 now :D )!. I think it hit me that if I didn't do something I would just get bigger and bigger.

Well done on your loss already :T It was the thought I would just keep growing and what that would do to my health especially that really hit me.

Right girls, I need some advice please if you don't mind.
My diet isn't working - trying to do it by myself, no plan, just cutting back etc. I need to stick to a regime if that makes any sense at all.
I'm getting great support on here but I am not doing it properly.

Something hit me last night and it probably sounds stupid but I realised (whilst I was eating yet another chinese) that food isn;t making me happy, it isn't my friend, as I have belived for so long, its making me unhappy and its now my enemy. Now I want to change all this and have a healthy relationship with food and control it instead of it controling me - does this make any sense at all

I don't have the confidence to go to any meetings so have been looking at doing it online and the only thing I can find via Quidco is WeightWatchers with £15 cashback, obviously because Andy lost his job, we are not very well off at the moment but I need to do something, actually stick to a diet plan instead of going it alone so am willing to pay something for it.

So, my fellow DFW's and FFW's - have you any ideas? Is it a good idea to join weighwatchers online, are there any others i can join online, which ones are good etc.

I'm sorry for all the questions but any advice very much appreciated xxxxx

awww weller hug8ok.gif you seem to have hit a plateau, i had the same feeling regards food but its been a constant battle of it my friend and the enemy :( however you have done very well so far... i hope you can overcome this as i know you will

with regards to the online help etc someone on here suggested calorie counting to me (tiggy sugested cal counting along with each one of you and toto showed me the site :) thanks hun) anyway i signed up to a site www.weightlossresources.co.uk on a three day trial and basically its a whole site dedicated to calorie counting, each day you can add food (which is already % out by the site) to your diary and see how many calories you are eating etc etc then there is an online forum a chat/help team that answers any question within 1 hour (although its usually less than 10min) and also have articles regarding everything and anything to do with food/diet etc etc...

i signed up for the three day trial and was a member the same day (£9.50 per month) i have now been on this 2 weeks and have lost 4.5lbs in that time monday would be my 3rd weigh in :T using this site... it does sound expensive but you also get packs sent to you with loads of info in and jotters to write down all you eat. It is turning out far more expensive for me as i have to buy kitchen scales etc (we bake cakes etc by eye) but its such an eye opener. Oh and the best bit if you stay under calories all week you can splash out on the weekend :T

there are other types of online sources though ie rosemary connelly and other calorie counting websites too...

You could try www.slimmingworld.co.uk I love the diet but haven't got the money to go to the classes - and to be totally honest I am not sure my head is in the right place to even diet at the moment. I am totally failing at this at the moment.
