You're trying because you know you're worth the effort. I bet your sister is as insecure about you as you are about her. I wouldn't be surprised if she feels that you are the one who has their life in control, who is steady and stable. Who sees something she wants and goes and gets it. Your sister goes to you if she wants to borrow money, that has to make her feel that you're the mature one who has got life sorted.

I know you feel down right now, but like everything in your life you are dealing with that. You do have health issues, which you are controlling, you recognise when you feel down and do something about that too, just coming here and talking it out is a great way to work through this stuff.

The only thing I think you need to work on a little more is being happy with being you. I think you don't see yourself as other people see you. I would love to see your self esteem and confidence grow, and I know, little by little you will get there.

I know and I hate that you feel that way. And I know it's hard, I really do. But Pap you have to believe in yourself, life is so full of people who will knock you and batter your faith in human nature. All we can really rely on is that we have the strength and self preservation to get up and shove two fingers up at them. You have to feel that you are precious and that you do deserve a wonderful life. You might not feel like that today but it's so important that you keep working towards seeing all of the things which make you a unique and priceless treasure. Because you are, we all are.

I've spent a lot of my life feeling I'm not good enough, punishing myself and putting myself through hell. But what good did it do? It didn't make me stronger, it took away my ability to fight anything. Don't waste your life trapped in self doubt, it hold you back and makes you terrified to get out of bed in the mornings, never mind embrace new challenges and opportunities.

You can do it, I know you'll do it

well first night shift is done two more to go... eating however is out the window i had 9 minstrels and a huge 450g tub of organic honey greek yoghurt more than i shouldve as well as what i shouldve eaten think i was in such a hurry having to deal with freezer etc so just grabbed what i could ....good luck today everyone and i'll try and ctch up later i'm off to my bed just now

Pap, just wanted to say that I know exactly where you are coming from with the 'lower than anybody' thoughts, I've been there many a time, particularly when surrounded by luvverly laydees out on the town. If you are anything like me, you know in your heart that you are a fab person, kind, warm and loving but just don't want to admit it out loud in case anyone is there to beat you back down with a stick (metaphorically speaking). So I'll say it for you - you're a fab person.

Well, I still think keren is in the lead in perfectness, el is up there too but she'll have to be part time because she's married. PAP is def kerens biggest competition, she ticks all of the boxes too. I'm up for a bit of mud wrestling though, I hear mud is ever so good for the skin and the wrestling bit has to burn a few maltesers.

I should ask Dithering dad how he organises things; he's got a good few wives so I'm sure he'll help you out.
