potentially naked bridesmaids at a wedding in two weeks - non delivery of dresses!

That is a genius idea!
The dresses we were going to wear were navy with pearl and cream accessories although she has decided that burgundy would work as well.
She's going for a vintage theme (she does a lot of WWII reenactment) so anything with a vintage flair would be good.. in a size 20 and 22.
Basically we want the moon on a stick! Any ideas anyone had are gratefully received (except for going naked, that would frighten people )0 -

Thanks, that's a good idea - I'll see if anyone can help there too.
Whatever happens as long as my sister and her partner get married then it doesn't matter a fig what the bridesmaids wear, but I know she wants everyone to look and feel great and that's the tricky bit currently!0 -
Do you think they took 11 weeks as they were shipped from China????Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -

Thanks for the dress suggestions! I've sent them all over to my sister and we'll get something ordered today. I hope that today is a better day than yesterday, I spent all evening on the phone to various members of my family trying to calm everyone down and make sure we have a plan of what to do.
As an update, I emailed the seller last night outlining the complaints and saying that as I didn't think there was time to correct the errors before the wedding I'd like my money back (and I would return the dresses).
After weeks of radio silence and regularly not having my emails answered... I got an email within 20 minutes saying the dresses were perfect and there were no faults so there'd be no refund! If this is what the seller thinks is perfect I would be interested to see what she dresses like every day!
Anyway, I fired off another email late last night highlighting a few of the major issues and stating again I wanted a refund so we'll see what happens.
I'm outside of the 45 day window for Paypal so I don't think that's an option. My debit card is linked to my Paypal account, do you know if I could do a chargeback or anything or would I be better off going through small claims? (part of me wants to do this to teach her a lesson which is childish and I shouldn't think like that).
I'll let everyone know if anything happens today but I'm not holding my breath :rotfl:0 -
What a nightmare. We got tossed about by dressmakers and ended up going into John Lewis with the bridesmaids and turning their try-on boothes into a mini catwalk. To make it more personal, we made our own sashes to go around the dresses. Cost a fraction of getting the dresses made by a seamstress.0

Karen - I really hoped that things would come good for you and it would all be OK. Like you I would do whatever I had to to cause her the utmost inconvenience. If I could get my money back too that would be a bonus !! What a dreadful woman playing around with your sister's special day like that. Feel so mad for you all. I hope you manage to find something that you all like - I am sure that you will. I think aileth's idea is great - personalising your dresses with little extras to make them your own. Good luck.0
