Don't worry about tomorrow, Mini K will be just fine, bet he goes in without a backward glance.

Not showing much sign of slowing up either, well not for this week. Tomorrow is nursery day and I have some business to see to also. Friday Mrs. K. and I are going to a concert in Nottingham - that night will most certainly not stay alcohol free and probably break the budget. :o

Saturday should be quiet (plenty of time for violin practise) and Sunday is fairly quiet; just lunch with parents then audition. Next week should be a little quieter. :)

OK this entry is dismal, sorry but here goes:

    Wednesday 25th September, 2013.
    Day 24.

    Dear Diary,

At the moment, I can hardly think due to being so busy and yet I have somehow managed to take on more in the form of an orchestral audition on Sunday. Considering that it has been years since I played in an orchestra, I doubt I will get a place but it is an opportunity I cannot miss and a welcome break from working.

THE meeting came and went with much to think about. I shall elaborate, though for the moment I feel almost too tired to speak having seen a client, gone to the meeting and started to prepare a piece for Sunday. I have to admit to having a little drink this evening so that has perhaps not been so good. Debt-busting has been quiet. However, I did not spend money on lunches out today.

Tomorrow holds my son's big day joining nursery, he is very excited and can't stop talking about it so I am just hoping he will enjoy it as much as he thinks he will.

    Summary:
    -£0.60 Bottle of Water.

    Yours Faithfully,
    Alex.

omg omg wishing you good luck for Sunday......you never said anything ?! This could be a such fun too, to play as part of an orchestra and concentrating on learning new pieces.....your brain is going to love it :)

What was the meeting outcome...or can't you say?

Little one is going to have a great time @ nursery so don't worry about it.

We are off on hols tomo am so will be AWOL for a while, though there is some wifi in the villa, so I will try to keep up.

All sounding positive on the whole...:)

I didn't say anything as I only found out today. :) It's with a semi-professional orchestra and honesty, I think my chances are slim. However, if I don't try I don't know also as I'm really enjoying music again it's worth getting some audition experience. :) Admittedly, I have been looking at doing a PhD part time once our son reaches school age. Will not give up my business to do it as I doubt I am intelligent enough to go into academia properly.

So far as the meeting goes, we have not finalised anything as of yet. However, he's going. It's just down to negotiating the terms of his departure. Currently, he wishes to take around 35% and I am at 20%, following kissjenn's list (thank you so much for that, it was VERY, VERY helpful).

I'll try not to worry too much.

Where you going on holiday? :)

    What a great week you're having :T.

Yes, I'll try to be a big boy and not cry like a baby when I leave him. :rotfl: However, I cannot make any guarantees :o. There has been times that my little boy has been the only thing in my life to stop me from going completely off the rails, I cannot deny it disconcerts me to see him growing up. I only said to Mrs. K. this evening that I hope he doesn't decide he wants no contact with me when he is grown up as I've tried my best and will continue to do so. Anyhow, that's a long time away.

Having a good but very tiring week. Really hope I am not going to just crash.

    Hi Alex,

I'm glad it went well. Good that you've got starting positions and can now negotiate with some confidence.

Best of luck for mini-k tomorrow. He'll have a ball, nary a backwards glance and you'll be distraught that he's not distraught while happy that he's not distraught - total mind bend.

And orchestra sounds fabby. I joined a choir yesterday. Good for the brain to do something absorbing and different - only wish I could sing :rotfl:

Best of luck to you both tomorrow Alex - and don't worry about the little stages with him growing up - its part of life.
Think what the alternative would be - would you have him a permanent baby?
Wait till he's leaving for uni or for his first home.

kissjenn: I cannot thank you enough for that list. :)

I really hope he'll enjoy nursery as much as everybody on here seems to think he will :)

What are you singing in choir?

LOL, no and I understand. :)

I just want him to always be in my life and am afraid the moment he gets the opportunity he'll decide he doesn't want me there, at all.
