Got another potential deal on the cards today but less working hours :) and on an even more positive note I managed to get a decent night's sleep and wake up feeling rather positive for once. Either the pills I was prescribed by the doctor are starting to do something or I really am starting to come to terms with the past and change my ways.

wegle: Aiming for a low (maybe no) spend day today also. :)

  • Have a lovely day today Alex, and I hope your son does too :)

(My advice - don't send him in valuable clothes! I came home from my first day covered in finger paint :) The staff had cleaned me up as well as possible but apparently I was "determined to paint myself"...!)

HBS: Thank you, he has clothes for when we do painting / playing with cars and other "dirty" activities. I'm sure we can find something. However, it is Thursday he has nursery.

As for business partner's wife; she's got nothing to do with the company at all. I didn't want her to come as I mentioned it's as much her business as it is Mrs. K.'s (that is not much at all). However, they seem to think because this is their MAIN income that she ought to come.

!!!!!! - what a load of bullcookies "main income", my patootie!! This has NOTHING to do with her, it's a professional matter between business partners & it is HUGELY unprofessional to invite one's wife along (or buckle to her nagging & say she can come).

You are now the stronger, braver Alex who got his BiL to cough up for music lessons; sold his beloved watches/pens (well some of them, anyway!); & is tackling his debt head-on, getting up & carrying on when he slips rather than sitting in a corner & doing nothing!

SOOO be polite but firm: for company meetings on company matters, partners & necessary professionals (accountants etc.) ONLY!
:naughty: DO NOT GIVE IN ON THIS!!! :naughty:

I'm sure if your partner looks at this objectively, he'll see how utterly ridiculous & unprofessional this is: does she not trust him, the main wage earner to make a decision? Is he so mentally incapable he needs to be accompanied by "Mummy"? Has he always brought her to vital job/ pay related meetings? Jeez, does HER boss bring their OH to company meetings?!

I would cancel the meeting unless she is not present & walk out if she is there despite arrangements to the contrary (entirely possible) & refuses to leave.
She can read the minutes (oh yes, I would minute every single meeting with him from now on - then it's all in black & white for everyone) & talk to partner about it all AT HOME but she should NOT be invited to or allowed at company meetings!

The pills are kind of like a lifebelt, they only stop you from drowning... it's you who's swimming to shore!

Now cut out the "I'm not good enough / I'm incapable" drivel & put some effort into your front crawl!:rotfl:

Alternatively, have they met your wife? Is not, plenty feisty women on here who'd be happy to impersonate her and come along ;).

    As I was saying :rotfl:

    Hope you're having a good day :)
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort
