It's lovely you wanted to make your wife smile this morning btw, despite feeling not so good yourself.0

DD is 11, anyone would think she is 18..... shes having netbook off my parents, and an ipod from me, (very mse as used vouchers so only paid £30 instead of £130) but it never looks enough, its trying to draw the line.
She even has a present off the dog - he's brought her some earrings and an ipod docking station.....
Then the "christmas list start appearing" make the most when they dont get to realise how to find Amazon or Argos online!! xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
You are right about true happiness; today I was happy with my wife and son in the pouring rain, away from any reminders of the past and of my stupidity. Mrs. K. said she wished I was that person all the time and so do I.
Nice to read this tonight.:D
We all have bad days and good days and next time you have a bad day (and then feel the urge to down a bottle of £10 wine and buy a luxe item (that you don't need) remember, you have to have the bad days to know what the good days are.
Glad you all had a nice day....Thursday 19th September, 2013.
Day 18.
Dear Diary,
Not to mention it seems whoever said "the more you do, the more you can do" to me was right, I am terribly lethargic until I get going and then I do not want to stop: I do not want the depression to catch up with me, nor the tiredness or the self pity that causes me to either drink or spend money on things I do not need.
Summary:
+£25.00 Music Teaching.
-£9.80 Groceries.
Yours Faithfully,
Alex.
You're welcome
I am female, I am always right ( *kidding*).
Hope the docs goes well and I am glad Mrs K is going too.......
Have you looked at any nurseries yet?
Hoping your Dad's test come back OK too.......did you speak to your parents about a regular arrangement for a shorter period of time?
How is the £5 wine challenge going?;)0 -
I am pleased that you have been able to enjoy today with your family. I hope that all goes well tomorrow, it is good that Mrs K will be with you, no chance of anyone fobbing you off when you have support with you.
I am off on my hols tomorrow and will catch up with you in two weeks, I truly hope that things will continue to go well for you and with each success, however small, that your confidence and will power will grow. I think an excess of possessions really does pull us down and it is freeing when things move out. I gave masses away when OH and I moved house 2 years ago, and now finding that there are things that I valued and enjoyed that I don't need to have around me anymore, it feels good.
Onwards and upwards (or downwards) and remember it takes a while to develop a new habit and mind-set, but do stay out of the shops, temptation is not helpful. The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)0 -

I feel really bad as we are don't do that much big Xmas spending anymore.....the debt-busting years kinda broke the habit.
I do a lot of book shopping for close family as it takes a lot thinking about that person to get each one their ideal book and I now take pics during the year and get a surprise calendar or picture book made.
These go down really well with all 'The Olds' in the family, far more than buying something random from a shop, even if I ask what they would like, they say they never need anything so it was always an impossible task.
OH and I rarely buy each other big presents as we have the common aim to get the houses finished and 'treat' ourselves to shopping for new things like heating systems and bricks.:o0 -

Thank younot sure how I will cope when the bad days come again though. Hopefully I will manage alright.
It was a great day, bet not many people can say they enjoyed an outdoorsy day in the pouring rain.
hahaha, I was rolling my eyes as I read that comment, Mrs. K. was smirking as we are reading this whilst watching Educating Yorkshire on the computer, no I still haven't got bored of it yet!
Not sure I am re. the doctors.
We are ringing three potential nurseries tomorrow.
Father's tests are for an ongoing condition and to determine if he has something else too. Not sure I wish to know the outcome of one to be honest. On the other note; yes, I did speak to them in regards of looking after their grandchild, they seemed quite enthusiastic about it but want us to get childcare in place firstly. Mother was a little annoyed that I am very reluctant in regards to son going to a place where everything is new.
As far as the £5 wine challenge goes, we have not even started yet! I've not had anything to drink since I surpassed even my expectations on Monday evening and we've currently got a fair amount of wine in the house, so £5 challenge starts when the current lot is gone.2018 totals:

oh, before I log out......Alex, can I say that your lessons sound a bit too cheap (:o)
.......hard now as you have set the price but £30+ is more the going rate isn't it? I know in suburban London they are nearer £40+
It'll be hard to put them up ...maybe next year.0 -

Thank you.
Already feeling apprehensive for tomorrow, the tension headache is starting come on and I know I'm going to struggle with getting to sleep.
Where are you going on holiday?I feel really bad as we are don't do that much big Xmas spending anymore.....the debt-busting years kinda broke the habit.

With all this talk of Christmas, I am worried about a frugal Christmas, not between Mrs. K. and I but more about what other people will think.2018 totals:

I'm in rural Derbyshire, very few people seem to charge £30+. However, most of the teachers seem to be doing it on a qualification of Gd. 8 piano (I was educated to Masters level in Music as well as having performance diplomas in both violin and piano, all a few years back now though) so, it's quite difficult to know what to charge in all honesty.2018 totals:
